Needed to schedule a colonoscopy and unfortunately Dr Yasmin Karim was the earliest available. I didn't do my research to see if she was a good doctor because I really wanted this procedure done and over with before the new year. My first visit with her I waited over an hour for her to chit chat with me for 10 minutes. This was going to be my second colonoscopy so I already knew the ropes but instead of giving me reminders or ask me questions about colonoscopy she decided to scold me about my blood pressure. My blood pressure was high because her nurse didn't know how to use the machine on a plus size woman and the cuff was three sizes too small which end up hurting my arm. When you're using the wrong cuff size it's not going to provide the correct blood pressure. I informed Dr Karim that I don't have blood pressure issues that its the machine so they decided to rerun it again with the incorrect cuff and then inform me that I need to follow up with my primary care. I was harassed to purchase the colonoscopy kit for $30 and the kit was a waste it was nothing but packets of Gatorade powder, Jell-O, chicken bouillon and some wipes. Things that you can purchase yourself for way less than that. Having the procedure done at the hospital was nicer than the last location I visit which was Lawrenceville I was the only one there and the staff at the hospital was very pleasant. After the visit I received numerous bills some of them repetitive bills for different people that didn't make any sense and I'm still currently disputing bills with my insurance. It seems like she invited a lot of people into that room to get paid to do the colonoscopy it was more than usual people that was necessary. And the people that was in the room each are subcontractors billed their own services which was separate than the hospital so overall my colonoscopy was more than $30,000 before Insurance adjustments. Avoid this doctor and the hospital!!!
