Needed to schedule a colonoscopy and unfortunately Dr Yasmin Karim was the earliest available. I didn't do my research to see if she was a good doctor because I really wanted this procedure done and over with before the new year. My first visit with her I waited over an hour for her to chit chat with me for 10 minutes. This was going to be my second colonoscopy so I already knew the ropes but instead of giving me reminders or ask me questions about colonoscopy she decided to scold me about my blood pressure. My blood pressure was high because her nurse didn't know how to use the machine on a plus size woman and the cuff was three sizes too small which end up hurting my arm. When you're using the wrong cuff size it's not going to provide the correct blood pressure. I informed Dr Karim that I don't have blood pressure issues that its the machine so they decided to rerun it again with the incorrect cuff and then inform me that I need to follow up with my primary care. I was harassed to purchase the colonoscopy kit for $30 and the kit was a waste it was nothing but packets of Gatorade powder, Jell-O, chicken bouillon and some wipes. Things that you can purchase yourself for way less than that. Having the procedure done at the hospital was nicer than the last location I visit which was Lawrenceville I was the only one there and the staff at the hospital was very pleasant. After the visit I received numerous bills some of them repetitive bills for different people that didn't make any sense and I'm still currently disputing bills with my insurance. It seems like she invited a lot of people into that room to get paid to do the colonoscopy it was more than usual people that was necessary. And the people that was in the room each are subcontractors billed their own services which was separate than the hospital so overall my colonoscopy was more than $30,000 before Insurance adjustments. Avoid this doctor and the hospital!!!

Stay away from these thieves. They will charge you $500 for the office visit just to schedule an endoscopy.

I started seeing Dr. Karim beginning of 2019. I had terrible symptoms and she wasn’t able to diagnose for 7 months while I had to live with severe discomfort. Also I’d like to add that she has bad bed manners and comes across as rude and unpleasant.

I started seeing this doctor a few months ago in Roswell. She always answers all of my questions and explains everything. She is very nice and takes her time with me. Her assistant is great too. She always calls me back right away and is very pleasant. I recommended her to my family and friends.

While evaluating me for an intestine issue using a ct scan she noticed a spot on my lung. She immediately notified me and referred me to a oncologist for evaluation. It turned out to be lung cancer which I had surgery and am now cancer free. This outcome due to Dr. Karim’s observation in an area she was not looking for and her action in getting me to the right help.

Dr. Karim is a great woman & physician. I presented to her with sever abdominal & back pain & after 2 ER visits, CTs & MRIs & 3 office visits with another GI practise-who only blew me off, Dr. Karim discovered my gallbladder was not functioning at all and sent me to a surgeon who took my GB out the very next week. I am feeling 100% better thanks to her care, expertise & compassion & I could never thank her enough. I continue to see her for a few minor issues and she is always prompt, pleasant & professional. She is truly and angel & I recommend her to everyone! I see her in her Alpharetta & Northside Forsyth office.

Great physician! Smart, caring & a wonderful person in general. I could never say enough things about her. The Cumming office is the best office out of the 2 she goes to. I will never see another doctor or go to another location.

My husband and I have been going to her for years and I wonder why we have never rated her before now. She is an incredible doctor, great bedside manner and the Forsyth office has been wonderful from my very first visit. Only complaint we have is sometimes we do not get an answer from her until a week later but I am sure she is very busy and all of our issues have been minor. She has had the same assistant for years and to us, that speaks for itself-she must be great to work with, too. I cannot say enough things about her-I will never see anyone else. She is truly an angel.
