BEWARE of the Surprise Balance Billing. Florida has laws against it, but because you sign forms (that didn't provide even close to the amount that I was actually charged), you may also receive an unexpected HUGE bill. I am 59 yrs old and have never, EVER had a drs office not provide the exact amount I would be responsible for UP FRONT. Here, you're told, not to worry, we are a preferred provider on your insurance and you have a PPO.
Those living on a limited income have to make decisions based on what we can afford. I am retired and feel I was taken advantage of. I would never have agreed to a test that wouldn't be covered by insurance. Now I have a $575 bill that I can't just pay. If I could afford a lawyer to represent me, I would take that route. LESSON HERE... I will not go to drs offices that don't disclose EXACT AMOUNTS OF UNCOVERED billing up front. This is my experience and I'm sharing so it doesn't happen to you.
