This review isn’t so much about Dr Gilani as it is his secretary. I’m convinced this individual makes the determination as to whose calls get returned, who receives prescription renewals called / faxed in by pharmacies, and whether or not the doctor is informed as to a request for a referral to another doctor. In all the years I have had Dr Gilani as my family physician, I have never ever had the issues I have had of late getting a call returned for help of any kind, or a prescription renewed. Certainly his previous secretary never ignored calls. It’s utterly insulting. I’m not convinced the doctor is even made aware of half of his Incoming calls or requests. I believe they are censored, filtered and discarded at the will of his front line worker. When you have to physically show up at the office to get the attention of the person behind the glass so they acknowledge your existence, that’s disheartening. He is either on the brink of getting out of practicing medicine or he needs to hire a new secretary. Clearly he is not in control of his own practice any longer.
