Lacking in people skills and failed to assess our son's condition and seemed rather dismissive. It was a very distressing situation and some caring and compassion would have helped to provide calmness and assurance.

I was to Brantford General 2 times last week. First for a CT scan. Than on Sunday evening I went in to emerge as I had been dealing with a lot of pain. I was quickly signed in and started to be cared for immediately. Dr.Andrea Unger introduced herself and took charge of looking after and exploring my situation. I have never had a doctor care for me like this! Unbelievable her compassion for looking after me explaining results from all the tests done. My wife was bedside also through this. I needed the support and care that Dr Unger and staff provided. The bedside explanation of my situation and support that was offered was much needed for me. The next steps for my care were setup to get the process started by Dr Unger. The experience I had to care for me I will never ever forget! Thank you Dr Andrea Unger and staff!

Dr. Unger saw me in emerg last night. Dr. Unger drained the bursa on my elbow - best bed side manner, I felt no pain with either of the needles. When being attended to by Dr. Unger, I felt that I was the only person being seen at the hospital that day - her entire focus and attention was on me and what needed to be done. Best experience I have had in an emergency department.

Dr. Unger is one of the best doctors you'll find at Brantford Emerg. I have been in and out of emerg dozens of times in the past year, and have dealt with her on several occasions. Not only does she have a pleasant and caring manner, she actively listens to you (a rarity these days). I had been in emerg due to kidney problems and she remembered me from over a month prior when I was in for a viral and bacterial infection, waiting to be seen in that condition for 14 hours. She actually apologized for my wait, and expressed that I was not triaged properly. This is almost unheard of from doctors at B.G.H. I cannot say exactly how deep her medical knowledge is by my own visits, but her diagnosis was always good with my issues. I hope she never loses that human style of doctoring.

Dr Unger performed a lumbar puncture procedure for me. All went well though I was not informed of the potential of long lasting headache. She indicated I may have a headache for a couple of days but it has now been 4 weeks. I would have reconsidered my decision to undergo the procedure if she fully informed me of the true side effects risks, which are readily publicized on the internet and known but subsequent doctors I have seen.

Dr. Unger treated me two days in a row at Brantford General hospital for a serious infection. She was extremely helpful and caring. She takes the time required, and has a wonderful personality and bedside manner.
