The stuff is rude and terrible. I called at least 10 times during normal working hours and nobody answered the phone. The other day I called again and again and they were putting me on a hold and never come back. It's been a week I try to make an appointment but still couldn't. Extremely unprofessional stuff.

Doctors knowledge is great and I was treated well by Dr Silva. You wait forever, they do not call you back for weeks. Office staff is not friendly. My card on file was not used for a visit check, it was used for a huge fee to my insurance I do not owe. I paid every charge for surgery up front. Currently disputing a transaction I feel wrongfully charged a month after surgery. I would be very careful as I still do not have a bill for this amount they claim I owe. I am waiting for the results of my dispute and new bank card to arrive. Very frustrated as I feel taken advantage of. I would not recommend based on this and how long it takes to speak to anyone.

If what I hear is true, Dr. Sylvia does not get back to his patients with results in a timely manner as promised and his office staff covers for him and becomes annoyed with patients calling for answers.

He spent only 3 minutes with the patient, we waited for 45 minutes. Who can do a good job in 3 minutes or take a good decision in 3 minutes no one.

I showed up 1/2 hour early then waited 40 minutes past my appointment time. When I asked I was told that "he is really backed up today". I walked out so I have no more information.

After waiting for 45 minutes in a waiting area and 15 in the room, dr spent 8 minutes with me and my daughter barely looking at her. No x rays or any other tests and already was forcing a surgery to remove adenoids and tonsils. He said her adenoids and tonsils are huge ( you can't see adenoids with naked eye!!!!) . every time I tried to ask a question, he would cut me off and suggested I don't want best for my child because I am not signing her up for surgery like right now! He was very rushed and left in the middle of me trying to talk to him .....I was shocked. He also told me I have to give my daughter 20 days of antibiotics and 10 days of oral steroids. Needless tI say I went for a second opinion. Another dr. Said my daughter's tonsils are medium in size and to see adenoids we need to take an X- Ray! Second dr said , We may want to remove adenoids because they pretty large and causing her to have sleep apnea( not tonsils), but if we don't ,my daughter will not die ( as the other dr suggested).

Office staff is terrible! Last several times I try to call the phone just rings and rings during office hours. No one picks up. I have to keep taking breaks to call during the work day. No messages on the line. Did a CAT scan for my 4 years old at the doctors request and no appointments to go over them but scant few that we can't attend - 3 options in over a months time. So, no CAT scan info. Just really disappointed in the service. When I finally got through on the line, I also waited on hold for 15 minutes to talk to someone. Dr. Silva is great and knowledgeable but we still don't have an appointment. I'm just hoping he calls if he has the time to review the CAT scan and finds an issue. Maybe we can find a place to take her where we can get in a bit easier.

Two of my children have been patients of Dr. Silva for about 11 years. Dr. Silva's office closed for awhile due to legal problems but they reopened and I brought my 8 year old son in to have his "T" tube evaluated. I learned he needs surgery, but it is not possible to make surgery appointments in the office. You have to call the scheduler and leave a message. I left several messages and even called the front desk and left a message there. This process started in early October 2013. None of my calls were returned. I finally went into the office to speak to someone. I was told that they were understaffed and that the scheduler had been filling in up front. They brought out my son's file and put a sticky note asking that I be called that afternoon. I left my home and cell numbers. I wasn't called. I called back on 19 Nov and spoke to the office manager (Leah K.). She was rude and unapologetic. The administration of Dr. Silva's office is terrible. I recommend finding a dependable office.

Dr Silva is the best doctor for children and adults. He cares about his patients and takes the time to educate his patients and takes the time to answer questions. He is very knowledgable and takes the conservative approach to treating illnesses. My son did wonderfully under his care when he got ear tubes. Later on, my son got diagnosed with parotitis which is a rare condition. He ordered multiple blood tests to make sure it wasn't anything very serious based on family medical history. Dr Silva is the only doctor I know who really takes the time to understand the symptoms before coming up with treatment options. I am impressed with his practice. The only compliant I have is his front desk staff. They are not very friendly, however I believe it is because they are under pressure with phone calls and checking in/out patients with no breathing room. Thus is truly a good thing because everybody that lives in the Loudon county & fairfax county area wants to see Dr Silva!

I just recently had sinus surgury 4 days ago with Dr.Silva. I haven't had my follow up yet, so I'm not sure wether or not the surgury worked. But I can tell you one thing, Dr.Silva is fantastic. I had a bit of nausea after the surgury and he personally called to check if I was ok. If thats not caring I dont know what is. I'm eger to see the results Of the surgury, the recovery is a bit brutal. Wish me luck!
