He should resign .. The damage I sustained was life altering. Look at the other reviews. I should have. Emory needs to get rid of him. The suffering he inflicted was like no other. A janitor could have done a better job. This is the best I could think of without getting my review removed.

I had heard great things about Dr. Bouloux from colleagues around the country recommending him as one of the best TMJ surgeons in the nation. I'm a physician myself, and wanted to make sure I was in the best hands for a total joint replacement that has filled me with fear since my diagnosis. Dr. Bouloux is everything a patient would hope for in a physician - he was intelligent, compassionate, diligent, and gave me no doubt that he practices evidence-based medicine and would give me the best possible outcome for my condition. I flew in from Austin, Texas just to see him and he went above and beyond to make sure my time was well spent and everything that could be taken care of for my case in a single visit was taken care of. As a physician myself, I learned a lot from my experience with him not only about the rare condition I have, but also about how to be a great physician with excellent bedside manner. I had seen various surgeons for consults on my case, and Dr. Bouloux was the only surgeon who left me feeling relieved and a weight of anxiety lifted knowing I was in the best hands. He truly has gone above and beyond for me, and for that I am extremely grateful and hope to pay that forward to my patients. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone in need of TMJ surgery.

Good Luck! I waited 2 months for an appointment, Dr.B canceled it without informing me, then I called 4 times to try to get another appointment that wasn't another 2+ months out and no one was understanding, empathetic or helpful. In total, I was probably on hold for an hour, for no reason.
I wish I got a chance to see him my jaw pops and is sore constantly, but was impossible to get a reasonable appointment or even be heard!

This Dr. Did not help me at all. I went there by a different Dr referral with the intention to have my TMJ (jaw) looked at by a surgeon. He did not help me. AT ALL!!! He was interested in writing me prescriptions... I did not want pills … I wanted someone to fix my jaw. He did do botox and it was very rough... I have had other dr's put botox in my TMJ areas and which did a wonderful job but this DR just sprayed some stuff and poked in the needle without warning. no easing it in. He said one month after steroids shots … which I hate steroids.... and that didn't he said he could see from my MRI that I had a problem with my jaw that he could fix. A month later... He said I can't help you PERIOD. I said what changed because my jaw had not changed... He said based on he exam that day … He couldn't help me. So he push pills, push steroids, push injections but I don't want to medicate my TMJ.... I am looking for a solution. He is right... and said it out loud. He said... I can't help you. I was out of there in a flash. Be very careful if you go to him. He will have you addicted to pills and keep going back yo him. That's what he wants.
so you can pay for his vacations, house meanwhile you get addicted and have no life and lose everything you have and does he care HELL NO !!!! He wants just regular stream of patients who pay his bills. NOT ME!! I feel I will one day find a Dr. who cares and not a pill pusher who don't care at ALL! RUN from him PLEASE! When People show you who they are BELIEVE THEM! He showed me and I won't go back to him!!!!! A Big office at Emory with residents who are not trained correctly. which hurt my jaw opening it way beyond what I actually could … I almost kicked her. then he comes in with a prescription pad. No Thanks!!! RUN!!

This doctors office is one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Save yourself time and don’t go here. I’ve had so many problems with them, it’s too much to write about on here. No one is on the same page when it comes to insurance or you as a patient. I saw him once and haven’t since, then get different info from each person I see. Not to mention appointment availability is months out. There are so many doctors in Atlanta to choose from, so don’t waste your time here!!!!!!

Several years now since Dr. Bouloux performed arthroplasty on my RT TMJ for disc repair and treatment of synovial chondromatosis, with one year followup arthroscopy to ensure no recurrence; Dr. Bouloux's knowledge & his ability to relate to his patients empathically put me at ease & brought a smile to my face many times despite the pain I was experiencing pre-surgery. Highly recommend this wonderful surgeon!

A great doctor ! People need to realize that after he does surgery it is common to turn the patient over to a resident ! Emory is a teaching hospital ! I feel he might be using his time on another patient who needs him more than I do ! Dr Bouloux has always listened to me and my concerns! An excellent doctor !

Gary Bouloux is an Arrogant Uncaring Person. Don't bother going to him. He does not care about patients. He sees them Once maybe, then he will not see you again to correct any mistakes hes made or even discuss it with you personally. When this man did talk to me, he wouldn't look directly at me. He need to go back to school for people skills. Go elsewhere if you need dental work

This man should have his license taken away. I took my mother to him for treatment and explained the sensitivity of the situation, that she had Alzheimer's and did not know exactly what she was there for. Not only did he openly discuss the matter in front of her, he also stated "that if he put her to sleep she wouldn't wake up." He also made a diagnosis stating that her problem was non malignant, however he never did any testing.
Do yourself or your loved ones a favor, go elsewhere. Could Emery be that desperate to put someone like him in such an important position in their hospital? What does that say about Emery.

The last time I saw doctor was 1 week before surgery. I did not see him the day of or the day following the surgery. The resident told me the doctor would see me next week at post op appointment. Take your business elsewhere. There are too many doctors out there who generally care about people. This is not one of them!!!
