The most arrogant Dr. I ever met. After 3 different opinions because it was my brain I wanted to make sure out was the correct choice. Initially a surgeon in his group felt that surgery was my only option. At this point I was already poison vision. The Day of preop surgery apt Dr. Kassam stormed in the room yelling at the other surgeon saying no surgery is scheduled without his approval. So I made an appt. With Dr. Hassan to only sit for 30 minutes and listen to all his accomplishments step by step. Mind you I'm in excruciating pain and already losing vision. After his entire presentation of all his accomplishments he asked why I was there. In my head I'm thinking CLEARLY he doesn't remember the other day the appt.with his colleague that He rudely stormed in on. So I kindly reminded him and asked why he behaved that way, unsure if his colleague was doing something incorrect. Well after that he blew up on myself and family and walked out to only return and told us to get out. That St. Luke's built that center for him and we need to understand that. 8 days later I woke up with no vision went to the ER was rushed into emergency surgery. As a Dr he failed. And I was very intimated by him. This was over 4 yrs ago. And I go to a support group for people with brain injury and meet several patients of his that feel the same way. Wondering if he still is practicing.

Dr. Kassam and his team literally saved my life. I received the most amazing care from the get go and still continue to be “part of their family” as they say. Thank you seems so inadequate for a team that saved you but I’m forever grateful and so blessed that he is my surgeon. Not many can be high functioning after the removal of a tangerine sized brain tumor.

Best doctor! After researching many doctors, I found Dr. Kassam. He explained everything in a manner which I understood. He brought in specialists from every area and I was able to consult about my condition. After the meeting, i was informed enough to make the decision. I don't regret my decision. I am still alive and happy spending time with my grandchildren. Thank you Dr. Amin Kassam.

My experience with Dr Kassam was a waste of time, and no help to my condition at all. His arrogance was annoying. The first fifteen minutes of my appointment he spent telling me about his accomplishments and experience, but woul not answer any of my medical questions in regards to my conditions. When I inquired as to why he could not jelp me he became irrate and walked out of the exam room. I cant understand how anyone would allow rhis man to operate on their head.

There is no way to express how incredible this surgeon is in this small comment box. To make it brief - his outstanding skill and knowledge base, combined with his soft spoken and caring demeanor makes him stand out as one of the best neurosurgeons in the world.

I had a Rathke's cleft cyst removed from my pituitary gland. The surgery was done through my nose! I am 100% recovered, no ill effects. Dr. Kassam has his own protocols, his own specialized operating room, his own instruments... he's a true expert at what he does and I highly recommend him. It took me about 1 1/2 months to fully recover but I was out shopping 3 days after surgery. I would tire easily after surgery but other than that, I felt so normal, that I couldn't even fathom that I'd had brain surgery. I do recommend taking the time off work they recommend because of the fatigue issue and there are some activity restrictions initially.
