Be careful when encountering this doctor. :(. When you are alone with her and vulnerable, she can say deeply disturbing things, and her judgment is not patient-centred.

Hands down my favourite Surgeon. She’s so kind and considerate of my pain. She listens to you and does what ever she can to help. I can’t say enough. She’s so wonderful.

She knew exactly what my condition was and took excellent care of me
I felt comfortable with talking to her first time I met her
I put my complete trust in her with the decisions she made for me
Those decisions saved my life
she answered any questions I had
Her staff is also great 👍

I would not ever go back to Dr. Mikula. I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer, she did not communicate with my oncologist and performed a lumpectomy. I learned later that I should have received chemo prior to surgery. 6 months after my treatment was complete I went to see her for what looked and felt like inflammatory breast cancer in the same breast I had had previously had cancer in. She told me it was mastitis and put me on antibiotics, I kept calling her to say it wasn't doing anything and she would prescribe me more antibiotics. After several trips to the ER and calls to the breast assessment clinic, I was told she should have done a biopsy right away. I phoned her back and she tried to postpone an appointment for 2 more weeks, until after christmas. Holidays. I was adamant she not let me wait that long. I had the biopsy done and the cancer was indeed back and had been spreading for 4 weeks while she gave me antibiotics. Luckily I have a wonderful oncologist who had me on treatment a few days later. I have never been back to her and would not be able to recommend her. If I had followed her care and recommendation I would not be here today to write this review.

Dr. Mikula is knowledgeable, honest, approachable, kind, extremely skilled, intelligent, patient, understanding, successful, inspirational, humble, dedicated... I could go on. I think she is the best and I am so lucky to have met her!

Dr. Mikula is such an amazing person and Doctor. I instantly felt trust and confidence in her. She recommended emergency surgery to correct a twisted intestine and a hernia. She asked if I had any questions once she explained what she was going to do. I did not have one question for her as I felt total confidence and trust in her. It was overwhelming. My operation was successful and I am healing exceptionally well. I cannot say enough about her professionalism and extreme skill. Thank you Dr. Lynn Mikula for everything. Oceans of gratitude and then some!

Superb! Dr Mikula removed two breast tumors for me in two separate surgeries. Her bedside manner is exceptional.

I had an emergency Lap Cholecystectomy done and Dr Mikula was pleasant and helpful. She outlined the surgery and made sure all questions were answered.

I had a hernia repair on Monday and emergency appendectomy last summer. Dr. Mikula is fantastic. She is an excellent surgeon and makes sure that you understand the procedure.

I just happened upon this site today as I was trying to remember where her office is for my appointment and wish I was aware of this site when my journey started with her 5 years ago. It has been a long journey but she was there for me every step of the way. Her knowledge and confidence gave me the confdence to think and stay positive and, guess what, it's been 5 years and she helped me to get through every single year of my journey. I remember her just hanging out with me on the stretcher before my second surgery to calm any fears I may have had and to answer all of my questions! Funny, we just sat chit-chatting like buddies would. I was just there today for my 5 year check up and all was good. I am actually going to miss her as a person and I'll be thankful for the rest of my life that she saved it. Most honest and down to earth person and doctor. She told me today if I ever have any concerns or worries, not to hesitate to go and see her. Thanks Dr. Mikula, you have been my rock for the past five years! ❤
