I was referred to Dr. Abtin due to a serious infection on a tooth. Dr. Abtin was chill, professional, and friendly and so were his receptionist and assistant. I had two root canals done and both procedures caused 0 pain and were relatively comfortable compared to other dental procedures I've had (tooth extraction, braces). Excellent specialist who really knows he's doing, obviously.

Had a long wait for an appointment but the procedure itself was pain free and quicker than expected. So far a week on no pain at all, and seems good at present, now waiting to get it crowned by my own dentist. Was previously told the tooth would probably need to come out and an implant done, so if I can save this pain and expense I will be very happy. Dr Abtin also has a great manner, very calm and kind. I liked him and would go back 100%.

i had a very good experience. excellent dentist. i felt no pain after the freezing wore off. none. didnt even feel pain at the injection site ( as i did with my regular dentist). i didnt even need one advil after the procedure. i almost fell asleep, this whole thing was more comfortable than a flight in the economy class. him and the blond assistant are very good. the receptionist is also extremely nice. great team. next day he gave me a courtesy call asking if i feel no pain. great work and business ethics.

I was 10 minutes late getting to my appointment due to a wheelchair being loaded onto the bus and the bus stop being moved a block further due to construction. The receptionist was not happy.
I was referred to Dr. Abtin by a dentist for a 'root canal' of a back molar, estimate $1800.00. Dr. Abtin had an x-ray of the tooth in question. He could see it was abscessed. I asked him if I should just have it extracted? What was his opinion? He worked on my tooth for 45 minutes, only cleaning it out. He said it was diseased and I had bone loss so he wouldn't work on my tooth any longer at that time. I should wait six weeks and then come back and he would assess whether it should be removed or if he would finish the root 'process' and then send me back to my dentist for a crown! I was not told that he doesn't do the entire root canal process in his office before I made an appointment or when I arrived at his office. For this first stage of cleaning the root he charged me over $400.00. He gave me no antibiotics to help me over the time lag knowing that I had infection in the site. I went to a new dentist who extracted what was a very damaged and diseased tooth. He had to clean out a lot of the debris that Dr. Abtin left in the site where the tooth had been. Cost $300.10. This new dentist is also able to do root canals in his office.
Dr. Abtin gave me a very expensive run-around with no confidence of joy at the end. Not happy!

The staff was most helpful. I found Dr Abtin knowledgeable but not as patient as he should be, in my opinion, if procedures don't go as planned. I will not see him again.

I was referred to Dr Abtin by my dentist because I had complex root canal work to be done below my molar. He was most professional, thorough and explained everything to me before and during the procedure. He was gentle and had very good chair side manners. I appreciate him saving my tooth. His receptionist is most polite and friendly.

Overnight I developed face swelling and had to go to Lions Gate ER. The next day my dentist referred me to Dr. Abtin. He did a root canal and gum surgery and I had to see him twice for it. I am very thankful to his team. I kept my tooth and my face looks much better.

It's a huge shock to be told that you'll lose your teeth! He charges you $120 for consultation of doing nothing and tells you book an appointment to do the root canal and you might loose your tooth.

I had a root canal with Dr. Abtin, and I am very happy with the result. Dr Abtin is very knowledgeable. He took time to show me X-rays and informed me of all the steps and expectations. He was very punctual and put me in ease with gentle manners. I did not feel any pain during or after the procedure. He doesn't do anything if its not necessary. His staff were also very helpful. If I have to do another root canal, I will definitely go to Dr. Abtin.

Dr. Abtin and his team are the very best. From the moment I met him I was terrified and he put me at ease. He is very professional and kind and his staff are the same. I would highly recommend Dr. Abtin and thank him for making the experience one that I won't be scared of in the future and I will be going back to him.
