I was looking for a gyno because I was new to boston and needed to get a doctor. I went there for my annual womens exam in October 2014. Now April 2015 I receive a bill for over $300. I was very confused because my insurance covers (like any other) a yearly exam along with a general practioner exam. They put me into as new patient and has a medical visit because I put in my medical history that I have PCOS. Am I suppose to be screwed over because of my medical history. Such b.s. I have never in my 15 years of going into a gyno have I ever been charged for an annual exam. Be careful if you go to Mass General because they will put in differnt medical codes for not the reason that you there for and get charged up the a**. The doctor was really nice, too bad I will never go to this hospital again in fear of giving them my medical history you will be penalized.
