I have never met a more disrespectful doctor in my life. I saw things done by her to so many of her patients including me. She is definitely not here to help you but to destroy you if she can. Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and you have been found guilty by the Most High God Jill McDermid. Repent for your sins and the sins of your forefathers or be condemned. Laugh if you want but you will not be laughing when your standing before your Creator.

She did my procedure but when I asked to talk about it, it seemed almost like it was an intrusion and I was questioned as to why I needed to talk to her. Being an engineer, I like detail and more than just "everything looks ok" Almost felt as if she felt she was above me and why would she talk to me a mere lay person, I'm fine the Dr said so, trust her. Dunno, just really didn't like that. She needs to realize we all aren't stupid people, I wouldn't have gotten a masters in Engineering if I was unable to comprehend what happened in the procedure. But seems female patients on here like her because shes "caring" I just found her arrogant.

Seemed rushed and disinterested

Don't feel she did enough examination during my endoscopy as it was very quick and all I was told is everything is fine but I am still in pain. I will be asking my doctor for a referral to another gastroenterologist

I have been seeing Dr McDermid for 10 years. She is fabulous. She listens to what I have to say, gives great advice and keeps on top of my condition. She is definitely one of the best.

I was referred to Dr. McDermid for further clarity on some food intolerances I'd developed, and some of the persistent symptoms I experienced despite changing my diet. She was quick to recommend a scope, which I appreciated. She comes across as practical and direct, and was kind and professional during the scope. However, I found myself disappointed in the follow-up. She clarified that yes, I had the issue I was referred to her for, but couldn't postulate any theory as to why, or offer further recommendations to look at the role my food intolerances might have been playing (or why they developed). The best she could do was write a prescription for a drug that hadn't worked when it was previously prescribed. She also said that if the issue didn't worsen by the time I was 45 (7yrs from that visit), it would stay benign--but she could not provide any strategies to prevent things from worsening between now and then. Through further work with a different doctor, I've come to learn that the issue was from a food intolerance to nuts & seeds that I hadn't yet recognized. The source of the intolerances are still a mystery I am working on, but the GI issues have significantly improved, no thanks to Dr. McDermid.

Just OK. Yeah she's friendly but I'd rather have a bit more formality in my dealings with health professionals. Seemed rushed in her dealings with me

I feel very lucky to have been referred to Dr. McDermid by my GP. She is so easy to talk to and I feel well taken care of by her.

Dr Mcdermid has been the most caring, professional, knowledgeable, and down to earth doctor I have ever had the pleasure of being referred to. She listens to my concerns and is considerate of my opinion when we make decisions about my health together. Her bedside manner is amazing, and I honestly feel that I've been listened to, which we all know in the busy medical world can be so rare to find. She gives me honest feedback on the topics I bring up with her and never makes me feel rushed because theres another patient to be seen next. Shes open to taking phone messages from me to check on bloodwork results as often as I like, and she will often take the time to call me back if she hasn't been able to take my call at the time. She truly cares for her patients. I was very, very lucky to have been referred to ber and have been seening her for about 10 years.
