I got 4 wisdom teeth removed from Dr. Harnett in 2017 and he did a fabulous job! I was eating chinese noodles the very next day. No swelling, no pain (he prescribed the right painkillers!). The procedure was very quick, and within a half hour, I was ready to be walked to the recovery room. I preferred to be put under for the procedure, which definitely helped ease any nervousness. He said to count back from 10 and I only remember getting to 8!! All in all, I totally recommend him.

Dr. Harnett, can not find you by phone or email to respond to my many requests for update on brot hers position on wait list for extensive extractions to be done in hospital. Even staff at the nursing home have tried also for many months to reach you. Brother is on pain meds for other conditions yet he has told me over holidays He has pain in his mouth. PLEASE help by calling Dundurn Place, Hamilton to help with this dental emergency. 905 523 6427. Ask for staff on 2nd floor....Jeffrey Stott.

I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted, PLUS 4 second molars at once; of course I was under when they did it. My procedure was 30min (quick!). Staff and Dr. were all extremely helpful, calm, super friendly and just all around great throughout the whole process. I woke up with no issues. More swelling than normal the next few days, but it was 8 teeth so it's expected. Would recommend no one other than Dr. Harnett! :)

Was very scared when told I had to have my wisdom teeth extracted, but the staff at this office were very helpful and kind, and made my visit a good one! Dr Harnett was very kind as well, making sure I understood what was going on and answered all my questions. The nurse prepping me was very kind and she made me feel at ease. Very scared of needles but the nurse and Dr Harnett made me feel very calm! 3 days after surgery and I have a sore jaw and gums, but other than that feel great! Would definitely recommend going to see this surgeon! The staff as well were all nice, and seen as they are understaffed sometimes they are put under pressure, but have always been kind and helpful!

If you get referred to this clinic, I suggest you RUN! Dr Harnett is very nice, but their secretaries/staff are sketchy. The way they conduct the billings are fishy. I had a very minor procedure done (a small cyst removed from the inside of my lip) and was charged for an absurd amount of money (more than having 4 wisdom teeth removed), and I was never given a quote or estimate in the beginning. I asked around and it turns out the secretaries billed for procedure codes that are way more expensive than what it should be. I called the office a few times to clarify with the billing issue, and the receptionist told me to "stop calling" and they will get back to me, but never did. I wish my dentist referred me to a different clinic. It's been a few days since I had the procedure and my lip is still swollen, with no sensation at all!

On Jan 28, 2016 my wife and I saw Dr. Harnett regarding the extraction of a problematic tooth. Dr. Harnett and especially his nurse were inviting, warm and made us feel very comfortable. That's an "Oakridge Oak" for you! On Feb 16, we returned to have the extraction. All went well except at the end I could not believe the attitude of the "helper", Dr. Harnett's term. She was sullen, unpleasant and most unhelpful. I actually had to raise my voice and demand that she returned X-rays that I had brought to the office. I would like to believe that she is not normally like this but was just having a bad day. As far as Dr. Harnett is concerned, he is an excellent skilled surgeon, personable and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend him.

I went to Dr. Harnett to have my wisdom teeth pulled, the staff aren't the greatest, but the Dr. was very helpful and the procedure went very well and I was back to normal in just a couple days. Would certainly recommend.

Did procedure without my knowledge or consent. Went in to have one tooth pulled, He pulled the tooth but then without my knowledge or consent he proceeded to drill out healthy bone from a preciously pulled tooth. He did not stop drilling until I grabbed his arm in alarm and pain. He stated after the fact that he thought it looked like part of the previously pulled tooth had been left in the bone. Turns out it had just healed extremely well. This resulted in a lot of damage and permanent weakness in my jaw as well as damage to the surrounding gum tissues, In explaining what he did, after the fact, he asked me ?who pulled that tooth". He did not recall that he was the one who had pulled that tooth or maybe he was just checking to see if I remembered, Perhaps to be able to change his notes to cover himself legally, I'm not certain his reason. Up to this point, I had trusted this oral surgeon.

I was hesitant to come to this office, as I read all the below comments! I've consulted with my dentist and said this Dr. is good. I trusted my dentist and gave it a try and I have to say this Dr. is very knowledgeable, explain things very well for my potential jaw case. The staff were very nice and friendly. Despite all these comment, after my appointment with the Dr. I feel comfortable for him to do my jaw surgery.

I was called the day of my appointment by an abrupt staff member who informed me that I hadn't filled out my paperwork online, and that she hoped I had time to do it now that I had left it this long. This was the first I had heard about those details as my dentist set up the appointment. Then they did not tell me the location changed, and so I drove to the wrong place and found the door was locked. When I called, they said that they had told me the address that morning, which was not true, but even if it was, it's hardly professional or helpful to get into a blame game with a patient. I finally made my way to the downtown location where the staff at the desk without saying hello handed me blue booties and said "You have to wear these, your boots are wet." Then I was handed a sheet to read back and front. I did so, and handed it back and was asked, "Did you read this? Even the back?" This was all done with a condescending tone. The pens that they give you to sign have a printed flag covered in sticky tape that says "Do not take these pens, please and thank you." Not exactly a professional move, and the staff rate per hour to make and tape those flags probably cost more than the amount of pens that actually get stolen. The nurse and doctor were great, but the overall experience was lacking in professionalism.
