Ratings for Dr. E Starreveld
I had dr starreveld as my doctor for 18 YEARS and found out he had retired when i called about my yearly appointment to be told he retired the month before. Because its so terribly EASY to find a new neurologist. Oh, and my complete file? Gone- and turns out none of it was ever transferred onto the electronic server. So there is no progressive historical data for my brain injury and epileptic disorder. Thanks for your professionalism.

The staff and the doctor are direct. They don't do the work for you. The doctor is very old school and by the book. He has been able to answer every question about my epilepsy I have had. He only ever perscribed me a medication that i had a bad reaction to once. But we had no idea i was allergic to it. Valproic acid. He has been my neurologist for 12 years and I find him reliable and full of knowledge.

This specialist wants to pull me off of a drug that's worked perfectly for 10 years without any side effect worries, and put me on something new with possible fatal side effects for my liver concerns. Tried to tell me I had JME when the top Neuro in North America ruled it out. I want to return to Victoria just for a trustable Neuro! This guy is s quack and needs to retire!

This man needs to retire. Just because my husbands MRI showed nothing doesnt mean his tremors are nothing. Parkinsons does NOT show up on an MRI. pretty much shooed us out the door though my husband is sufferring and hasn't been able to work. I had video proving his tremors are bad. Just because husband is having a rare good day doesn't mean he is faking it. I'm very unimpressed and will be looking for a new neurologist

Awesome! Dr. E. Starreveld explained everything clearly. He showed me the results of my EEG and explained all of the indicators. Dr Starreveld was very understanding and compassionate.

Always promised that I would be better with the next drug he prescribed. Many times these drugs caused me to go to the ER. Never did get better until I changed doctors.

He gave extremely different diagnosis after each visit, and forgot everything he diagnosed in the previous visit. He spent the remainder of the appointment asking about my referring doc's heritage and age. Extremely unprofessional.

I had been Dr. Starrevelds patient from four years of age till he retired. I had many seizures and tried all combos of meds. Finally we found a combo that worked for me . I'm sad to here that he has retired. One Dr. That I had trust in looked forward to seeing him for eeg each year and check up.
Does any one know of a great neurologist to replace Dr. Starreveld?
