This doctor has the poorest bed side manner I have ever experienced. It is a shame that people like him are allowed to work in this profession. He is condescending, rude and lacks any social skills. I would not trust his opinion or care.

In June 2014, Dr. Forkert ordered pulmonary tests to further investigate my shortness of breath when exerting myself. The results were available at the end of July, and I saw him in early August. He told me that my shortness of breath was due to my lack of fitness. He recommended that I join a gym, go to the YMCA, and enroll in a fitness program.

I am 69 years old, have stage four colon cancer (colon, liver, and lungs), ileostomy (bag for bowls), and a huge hernia in my lower abdomen. If Dr. Forkert had taken the time to read my patient file before wasting my time in his office, he would not likely have made such a ridiculous recommendation. I am not able to exercise because it causes problems with the ileostomy , no energy because of the chemo treatments, and no agility because of the hernia.

Dr. Forkert has such a narrow field of vision with respect to other issues that could impact your lung function, he misses the bigger picture. I would never rely solely on his medical opinion.
