Dr Furman is a blessing. The best thing about my visits is that he listens. When he gives you an injection he goes over exactly what he is doing, what you can expect, and then tells you to call him if you feel you need to.

Today was my third time at the office. No wait for x-rays or getting to see the Dr. 2nd time having hip cortisone injection. He is gentle, told me what and when he was going to do something. Took time to talk with me. I had both hip injections by another Dr. in the group months ago and it was an awful, painful experience. I would recommend Dr. Furman highly.

Dr.Furman operated on my left knee;immediately after the operation I had an unusual amount of pain +swelling;repeated desperate calls to Dr.Furman for help+a post op exam(+possibly a prescription for antibiotics went unanswered).By the time I WAS seen(in the emergency room) I had developed a raging infection that required me be operated on 7 more times+seen every day.at the wound care center for almost 6months.I was left with agonizing pain in my leg(my meniscus is gone +jagged bone grates on bone.)I am a big man (6'3,who did physically demanding work. Now every step is agony,+I can no longer do the work.Pain medications are costly, inadequate,+finally ineffective. The physician at the E.R. Said that if antibiotics had been prescribed earlier(I.e.,if Dr.Kim Furman had bothered to return even 1 of my calls)the infection could have been prevented.Dr.Furman remained unsympathetic to my plight throught the entire ordeal+NEVER even apologized. His attitude was flippant +antagonistic.
