I have been seeing Dr. MacDonald for several years for chronic ear infections. He is thorough, kind, helpful, and professional. I would definitely recommend him, except that I believe he is trying to retire. He certainly deserves it.

Rude, demeaning and very disinterested. Didn't seem to care to help, or really want to do much about my problem. The day I went, there was no blockage, so in his words 'It must not exist'. I'm fairly certain I would know if a problem exists when I'm the one experiencing the symptoms and problems for 3 years. Would recommend seeking another ENT. I know that's what I'll be doing.

I had my first appointment with Dr. MacDonald & found him to be punctual, pleasant, informative & thorough. His receptionist was also pleasant & professional.

He was efficient but did not express interest in understanding the nature of the problem. He was not able to provide any suggestions of how to approach the hearing issue in the short-term or long-term. He seemed to want to get out of the room as fast as possible. I was not overwhelmed with the experience. The staff were fine but not overly helpful or friendly.

I was referred by my family dr. for chronic sinusitis. Dr. MacDonald was great to explain things, order further tests, discuss my options and make a plan to go forward. Was VERY pleased with the level of service from he and his staff.

The initial app't we had did not go well, his bedside manner left alot to be desired. Since he faxed my Dr and my Dr told him I wanted answers..he has been GREAT!! My daughter is going in for surgery June 30th (the second one with Dr MacDonald. He is on time, answers your questions, jokes with my daughter, and accomodates any way he can!

I have seen Dr. MacDonald's on several occasions. He is very punctual & organized. He has always been very friendly, mannerly & precise with his diagnoses. Dr. MacDonald answered all my questions in terms I understood. When there was further testing required he ordered them asap. He was the surgeon who preformed my sinus surgery on Feb. 20, 2012. My recovery time & check-ups were successful & speedy. I would highly recommend Dr. J. Gerard MacDonald (ENT) and his staff.
