I'd like to share my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Waring and his staff at Magill Vision Center. I am an MUSC employee and heard about Dr. Waring's procedures to treat presbyopia so scheduled a consultation to discuss options as I was really struggling with reading glasses and not being able to see faces clearly. From the first appointment to my post-procedure follow-up appointment today, the care I received and the outcome of my surgery exceeded all expectations. I've been glasses-free since my procedure (over 4 months) and it has changed my life! I cannot say enough about the professionalism and talent of the staff and physicians at Magill Vision Center. If anyone is struggling with over 40 vision loss or curious about results of Lasik for presbyopia and want to take the next step to significantly improve your quality of life - please make an appointment today! Feel free to email me at johnsusa@musc.edu if you'd like to hear my story.

I had a great experience with Dr Waring and his staff. I came in with cataracts in both eyes and couldn't read the big E on the chart without my contacts . I left with 20/15 vision. I recommend Dr Waring highly

Dr. Waring is the second generation Waring to perform surgery on my husband's eyes. In the early 90's Dr. Waring's father performed experimental (trial) lasik at Emory in Atlanta. I found his son seeking a second opinion for cataract surgery. What a fantastic result. Emory could not find the old records for my surgeries and therefore it was a bit more difficult to get the right lens. However, the result with the laser surgery and cataract removal is 100% perfect vision. Dr. Waring loves what he does and his team of professionals show the same zeal.

Dr. Waring and his staff at Storm Eye are second to none. Their confidence and caring gave me no doubt about my decision to get Lasik. Any questions or concerns were answered confidently and clearly. He gave me 20/15 vision. I feel I've dealt with the best in the field here.

Having worn glasses (as thick as the bottom of pepsi-cola bottles) since the age of 12 or seeing the movie Ben Blur instead of Ben Hur, I realized it was time to take a different approach to my vision care. It is refreshing once again to see with 20/20 vision and I owe my appreciation to Dr. Waring. McGill Laser Center or Dr. Waring in particular is not only a doctor that I can trust; I wouldn't trust my eye care to any other professional. I would also like to say that Topher C., Susan B., Tosha W., and Natalie make each visit to the office more pleasant. Their level of professionalism and care are incomparable to all others. I would recommend Dr. Waring and his staff for anyone seeking cataract surgery.

I chose Dr. Waring over an in-network doctor due to his impeccable reputation...I paid double over what my insurance company charged but would have paid 10x as much for the quality and service I received. The procedure was quick and painless, I could tell from my first office visit that Dr. Waring and staff were competent and genuine, and my vision was corrected to 20/15 in just 8 seconds of laser per eye! I cannot recommend him enough - when it comes to your vision, you can't put a price on quality and peace of mind. Thanks Dr. Waring and staff for giving me the gift of sight.

I have been wearing corrective lenses for almost my entire life and had been a contact lens wearer since 1968, one adjusted for reading and near work and the other for distance vision. Over time I developed cataracts in both eyes to the point where my corrective lenses could no longer overcome the degenerative nature of the cataracts. Dr. George O. Waring assisted by his friendly, professional and capable staff suggested I was a candidate for laser surgery to correct my cataracts. I have now had both eyes corrected through laser surgery conducted by Dr. Waring and his staff. Per my preference, one eye has been corrected for reading and close work and the other for distance vision. I am able to function today at better than 20/20 vision in both eyes. I can state without exaggeration that my experience at the McGill Laser Center at MUSC has been a most positive experience. I have nothing but the highest professional regard for Dr. Waring and the professionals at the Center.

After being in contacts and glasses since 2nd grade, I finally got my vision corrected from Dr. Waring. I was not a LASIK candidate, so I had the ICL surgery. The surgery was painless (to my surprise!) and right off the OR table, I had 20/20 vision! The recovery was a breeze and uneventful (thankfully!). I cannot thank Dr. Waring enough. Now, I just have to get used to being able to see when I wake up! :) It's like Christmas every morning!! The staff is fabulous and everyone is so sweet and kind and makes you feel comfortable. This has definitely been worth the 4 hour drive! Thanks Dr. Waring and staff!
