Dr. Holt was so helpful, knowledgeable & respectful to me in my recent visit to the ER. He listened & helped me to begin to face my diagnosis. I feel very fortunate to have met Dr. Holt at a very difficult time in my life. Thank you so much, Dr. Holt!

I recently had to go to the Er at Shadyside hospital and Dr. Erik Holt was my dr and was my dr in the past. He is the BEST dr I ever had in the er. He was patient, caring, explained everything, took time to listen. If you ever get him, you're lucky. Thank you Dr. HOLT!

Dr. Holt is the most disrespectful doctor I have ever come across. He gets a thrill out of belittling others. Absolutely no proper bedside manner, he probably has no idea what that is.

He was awful and his choice of medicine gave me very severe side effects that landed me in the hospital when another medicine would have worked as well without the side effects. He was dangerous.

Dr. Holt is a disgrace and should have his medical license immediately removed.

Recently I went to UPMC Shadyside's Emergency Department with intractable vomiting (probably food poisoning). Dr Holt was in charge of my case while I was there, and he evaluated me quickly and expertly. Eventually he had me admitted to the hospital for further IV hydration and IV anti-nausea medication. From the dehydration and stress, I was mentally out of it while in Emergency but somehow felt sure that Dr. Holt with his experience, competence, and kindness would help me recover, if anyone could. Thanks to him and his wise judgement, I am completely out of danger. I am grateful; I could not have asked for a better Emergency physician.
