This doctor is absolutely incompetent and talks to patients as though they are incapable of understanding complex diagnoses. He continuously sent an 85 year old woman for ultrasounds when it was abundantly clear that an MRI would have been infinitely more helpful. His incompetence has led to a 4 month wait which has only extended his patient's pain and suffering. He is lucky we live in Canada and he cannot be sued for malpractice. His patient is now in another hospital being treated by other physicians.

He may be a good doctor, but he is rude. I heard him outside commenting why I was referred to him...he seemed bothered by my type of injury. Once in, he was short, rude and treated me as if I was in a police interrogation. I am a medical assistant and I found his behaviour very demeaning and obnoxious. He did nothing for me and I left feeling discouraged. I am being referred to another physician who can hopefully help me. I would not recommend him. He needs to learn common courtesy.

Dr McGonigal is an excellent doctor.Although I had to wait 1 year for a bunion removal,I was impressed with the efficient result.Painless with a bunion boot.He has superb bedside manner.I recommend him highly

Dr Mcgonigal was amazing to me from start to finish! Professional, great bed side manners and overall aftercare was exceptional. I would recommend him to anyone looking for orthopedic surgery or if I would have to do it again.

He was terrible.. He missed a fracture on my X-rays and 2 weeks later he took off my cast. I got hurt again because I wasn't properly healed. He told me I just had a sprain but his technician sent my family doctor that I had a fracture. Sent me on this wild goose chase to figure out what I had. At first he apologized but when he found the letter from the first techinician saying I didn't have a fracture (even though I did) he took back the apology. It was all so unprofessional. My file was sent to the wrong room and wrong paitient. My cast was put on wrong to begin with. And for my second follow up I had to wait 45 mins because the lady who scheduled me didn't put me down so I officially had no appointment. Not happy. Going to go back to my family doctor and get referred to someone else not comfortable with what he said.

Great doctor. No nonsense personality. He allowed me to walk! Fantastic follow up. If you need a hip/ knee, he is the best. I owe him.
