his knowledge level is ok, not great, not terrible.
he absolutely has a huge ego
the bigger issue is that he is totally financially motivated and sells you anything and everything he can, in particular HIS knee brace, stem cell injections, PRP, physiotherapy (i strongly suspect a kickback) etc.

His motivation is financial, not medical

not sure it is true but i have heard strong rumours about how he "passed " his exams.........for this, i suggest you ask his peers

I had my knee surgery about 6 years ago at Etobicoke. Hospital was under Reno but I was treated perfectly. Have referred a few patients. They all raved about Dr Gordon. He knew exactly what was wrong. His surgery eliminated years of pain and not being able to fully enjoy life.
Don’t expect a charming manner. A nice person but...He’s old school crusty and impatient. If you’re thin skinned, overly sensitive you’re going to get an excellent surgeon not a nursemaid

Dr Gordon change a lot, I had my first surgery with Him in 2014 and was perfect with no pain at all. My second surgery in October 2018 was a lot of bruising and pain. I am still in pain and have a cyst in my knee, so went back to see Him and He was really rude, told me that I have scar tissue and it was no problem with my knee the pain it was because I'm old an have arthritis and it was getting to get worse , the thing is, before last year fall I had no pain and I am not that old.
So if you are depressed becuase you are in pain, He will make you feeel worse.

Dr. Rob Gordon has a large ego and oozes arrogance.
You will hear him before you see him.
Dr. Rob Gordon was dismissive, ignorant, rude, and threatening.
I left his office disturbed.

Had surgery for torn meniscus on both knees. My GP warned me he was arrogant so I was prepared! As far as I am concerned the surgery went very well and ten years later I have no problems wit my knees. His physio clinic is a hustle though. I went once and discovered that my local clinic was far better, offered many more options. I had one surgery at Toronto Western which went fabulously. The second at Etobicoke General was a nightmare. The hospital was under renovation, understaffed and overcrowded. Sat shivering in hospital gown on overturned buckets for about an hour with a group of men and women waiting for surgery in a cold, unfurnished room. Anesthetist, after multiple jabs could not find a vein and resorted to using a small needle in the back of my hand, which resulted in a horrible experience going under, very slowly, hyperventilating etc, and when I woke up in an extremely crowded recovery room (cots touching) the back of my hand was blown up and took months to come down. After the recovery room I was moved to another extremely crowded room (with no privacy curtains) filled with post op patients, many of whom were vomiting, where my clothes in a plastic bag were dumped on my cot and I was told to get dressed and that they had called my ride. I was wheeled to the curb just 45 minutes after surgery, and have to say felt dreadful, faint, sick etc I realize this had nothing to do with Dr. Roberts but the experience would make me very wary of ever going back to that hospital. More than a decade later I am still somewhat traumatized.

Very rude. I felt rushed through the process and had surgery when I should have gone the physio route.
