i have been a patient of dr. fairman's on and off for 15 years. he is by far the most compassionate, knowledgeable and caring physicians of any specialty i have ever been treated by for long-term and complex pulmonary issues in the richmond area. he never fails to take the time to listen, understand, explain, comfort and reassure patients in professional yet caring manner. his long-term patients trust his judgement, abide by his recommendations, and are confident they are being treated by a talented and caring individual who sees them as people. answers his phone messages personally and never fails to respond to an emergency. a brilliant man doing his healing in the midst of a chaotic environment. highest praises to dr. r paul fairman (i am confident i speak for many, therefor "patients" throughout.)

Dr. Fairman's bedside manner is patient and understanding. He asks pertinent questions and listens to the answers. He doesn't rush us through the visit; he is finished when we are finished. We have been completely satisfied and confident in his medical care for my father.

Dr. Fairman- listens, ask the right questions, knowledgeable and very caring doctor. Does not see to be rushing away to see other patients and therefore make you feel the most important person in the room.
