I was a patient of Dr. Kaplan's for more than 20 years in Westport, Ct. He was the absolute very best physician I have ever known. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, caring, understanding and just about every other positive statement that I can think of. I was extremely sad when he left Westport. I am absolutely certain he is well respected in his new position in NY and that his patients have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. I now live in FL, and have not yet found a physician who can measure up to Dr. Kaplan

Beware of this doctor. If you're sick, you won't be able to get in to see him for several weeks. Sure, you can see a med student or another doctor, but I'd hazard to guess that most people prefer to see their own doctor. He can't make an independent decision to save his life and relies on the computer's flow chart to guide his tresatment of patients. He's a misogynist who believes that all women are crazy, yet if men were seen with the same complaint, they're treated totally differently. I had a male friend of mine go in with the IDENTICAL complaints as mine, and he was treated in a professional manner, and not told "Oh, you're depressed" and referred to psychiatry. He appears clueless. Plus, his son is the biggest bully in school, and I suspect the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Two thumbs down!
