He's very kind and caring doctor..he's the type of doctor that will help you all the way to find out what's bothering you he's most knowledgeable in his field.he's really a good professional doctor.im very grateful to have a doctor like him.thanks Dr. Vortel for taking care of me in the hospital.

Dr. Vortel was extremely helpful during my time of crisis. I can say that he is a very patient Dr. I did not feel rushed when I saw him. He took the time to answer my questions. Dr Vortel is an INCREDIBLE Infectious Disease Specialist. He had first seen me in The Richmond General Hospital. His diagnosis is so amazingly-accurate, his ways of healing through the right medications and procedures-needed when things went so wrong were God-sent for me. He always came at life-saving moments when I thought I could be dying alone. He is most professional, very experienced, genuinely- helpful, has much empathy and his presence to listen, discuss and diagnose was all part of my healing process. He never rushed me to quickly finish my questions for him even though he had other patients waiting for him in the hospital. I always had a list of questions and he listened to my fears as I was 'living' in the hospital and my Life turned completely upside-down.
Being critically ill, I got sent from RGH to Vancouver General Hospital. I eventually got sent back to RGH when I had all my enormous amounts of tests done. I stayed almost 50 days in both hospitals and I was a healthy individual before my bad Sepsis Infection. Sports was my daily life.
Dr Vortel brought me back to LIFE after a long struggle with many endless hospital tests, being in isolation, travelled in an ambulance and hospital-transfer-vans, etc...
He looked after me dealing with my critical condition and even listened to me and coaxed me back to some mental 'sanity' as I was very miserable staying so many days in the hospital and thinking that I may eventually die at some point.
I AM MOST GRATEFUL TO DR VORTEL. THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY LIFE DR VORTEL.
