Insightful and patient with me. Dr. B has been forthcoming about meds and side effects and has allowed me a great deal of input on medication choice. I have good communication with him and he's been very helpful with how to manage symptoms.

Given the funding limitations of the public system I am grateful for his excellent care despite difficult restrictions within the system itself.

I have been seeing him for two years, I do not have anything negative to say about this man. I would definitely recommend him.

Doesn't use correct pronouns, even when specified by patient, in other words a transphobe. Flippant to patient input. Callous. Would not recommend, especially if you're on any aspect of the LGBTQ2+ spectrum.

If you end up seeing him he will do way more harm and make you feel worse with his little stupid arguments he starts and he will twist your words to make you sound like the bad person. Overall just not a good person and I'm currently trying to find a different psychiatrist.

Dr. P. Balakrishnan is the best Psychiatrist that I have seen and I have seen quite a few over the years. He has a gentle, patient, kind and understanding nature. I look up to him and value his expertise.

I didn’t want to give Dr. Balakrishnan any stars. He is unbelievably incompetent and I am going to report him to the BC Physicians and Surgeons Society.

I simply don't understand why there are so many negative reviews of Dr. P. Balakrishnan. He has such a wide depth of knowledge and excellent listening and observation skills. I have seen many Psychiatrists over a long period of time and Dr. P. Balakrishnan is by far the best!

Absolute bully. Just screams at people for having personality disorders. Real or percieved by him.
