Obsessed is an understatement. I've been seeing Ms. Permin for almost a year now and she was my 3rd psychiatrist in a years time (one passed away and one retired) and she has been hands down the BEST. She's so kind and caring and understanding. She's so proactive and ready to help you in any way possible. She really pays attention and is so intuitive and observant and helps you see things in yourself that you've never noticed before or that you've gone so long thinking you were just stuck with. She's one of the most reliable and consistent thinks in my life and every appointment I have with her I'm reminded how lucky I am that I was put in contact with her and have the ABSOLUTE PRIVILEGE of being in her care. I've read some of her negative reviews and I think people really misunderstand because they expect their psychiatrist to be soft and sugar-coaty but that's not her. She cares about her patients too much to waste their time so, while still gently, she tells things straight to you so that she can get your take on it and help you be the best you as soon as possible. It's really a shame that people took that so negatively and didn't give it a chance because they really missed out on someone who would care about them SO MUCH. I literally can't say enough good things.

I had a visit with Dr Permin for mental health, she was dismissive of my feelings, was rude, hostile and lacks empathy. She definitely does not need to be in this line of work. She left me untreated after I had already waited a month for an appointment and told me she would need to see me again to treat me....Medicaid scam?? Due to her I will not be seeking treatment from KCC again I also filed a complaint with KCC director due to her behavior at my appointment. I am sure those appointments are recorded so they will be able to take a look at it. If you're seeking psych care DO NOT SEE DR PERMIN.

I’m genuinely shocked with Dr.Permin’s reviews and overall score. My impression of her is that she is a very direct, fact-driven, type A personality. She seemed extremely focused on narrowing down a precise diagnosis, and treating it with whatever was necessary and proven to work. I have scheduled an array of tests, consults with specialists, and a working diagnosis after 1 visit with her. She was very matter-of-fact and didn’t allow me to be consumed with what my personal google searches told me was wrong with me. If you’re someone looking for genuine help, and not someone looking to chase a prescription- I highly recommend Dr.Permin.

A side note- this is not to say medication doesn’t help, this is meant for people who are requesting medication they don’t genuinely need for off-label uses. If you need it, truly, she will know. Trust your Dr. and not your internet search.

Very rude and made me as a patient feel like I didn't matter and was rushed. Needed refills on routine meds. She messed up prescriptions and never straightened them up.
