Dr. Rismanchi was very attentive to our needs and concerns. Even though working long hours, she always spent time to explain things.

She was my child's primary in the NICU at CHOC. She was horrible, citing outdated data as excuses for barring us from feeding my premature infant my breastmilk, and, pending examination of his records, I suspect she characterized normal breastmilk soft stools as "diarrhea," extending his unwanted dependence on formula for sustenance. If she really intended to go into pediatric neurology, no one should have started her in the NICU as her first rotation, since, as the daughter of a neurologist, I know that many are short on people skills. It took pulling rank twice in his fourth week there to get the level of treatment and evaluation we expected, rather than a frightening reliance on debunked old-wives'-tales about beans and cabbage as the cause of our child's perceived digestive ills (even as I eschewed dairy, soy and wheat). Within two days of talking to a second attending, our son was discharged. I sincerely hope that Dr. Rismanchi stays far away from NICUs and diets again.
