I am a middle aged professional woman who gave birth and nursed three children. My body has changed significantly after child bearing and for 10 years I have debated and considered having a "lift" (mastopexy) done. Finally I gathered my strength and some bravado, and have booked my consultation with Dr. Yau. The facility is spotless and beautiful, the ease of booking visits was amazing, and the speed of booking my surgery was according to my needs. I booked it in such a way as to disrupt my life to minimal effect, and they were able to accommodate me. Most importantly, I am truly amazed with the results. My body looks so much better than before; the recovery was well explained to me and I could follow it without any issues. I would recommend Dr. Yau to anyone for breast surgery!!!!

I am so blessed and highly favoured to have come across Dr. Farrah Yau Plastic Surgeon. I am a MTF Transgender Woman and had my gender confirming top surgery with her almost 1 month ago. I am so beyond satisfied with the results and feel more complete in my body. I had a consultation with her and she is such a kind and dedicated person. Dr. Yau takes what she does very seriously and is honest with you as well which is something I appreciate. I have to mention her Medical Office Assistant Leanne. She has been so kind and helpful with everything related to this surgery and has taken my calls with respect and kindness, she is also truly a gem. I can’t thank her enough either for making this experience a smooth one. So on the day of surgery Dr. Yau had several size options for me on the day of surgery and we discussed ultimately she would decide what would be the best fit for my body and look the best. Her eye is amazing and I’m so grateful I put that decision in her hands because she made my bust look natural and not to big or small . The procedure was somewhat painful the first week which is normal but it gets better daily. Despite some pain I had only tiny amounts of bruising in one single area, some swelling, and amazing small inconspicuous incisions. The already beautiful results look better every day as the implants fall into place. Thank you so much Dr. Yao for everything!!! You have changed my life and I’m forever grateful!!! Also thank you Leanne for all your help I am also forever grateful for your kindness and patience with me. I don't have words to express how THANKFUL I am with Dr Yau for my procedure. I can not express enough how incredible satisfied I am with the my experience and the final results from my surgical procedure, tummy tuck with 360 lipo. Dr. Yau has made my dream breasts come to life! Thank you Dr. Yau- you have changed my life.
Since I can remember I dreamed of having breasts that were symmetrical and perky but would always tell myself that it wasn't in the cards for me and to be thankful for what god gave me. I spent all of my teens and twenties being extremely insecure about my breasts. Finding bras that fit properly was an impossible task that I gave up on years ago. I would just wear sports bras all the time because that's all that fit (I never felt sexy).
Recently I was talking to my friend who was raving about her new breasts that she had done by Dr. Yau so I thought what the heck I'll just go for a consultation. I was WOWED to say the least when I walked into the clinic - the place is stunning, the coffee I had was incredible and the staff and nurses were so kind and helpful. Dr. Yau understood exactly the look I was going for and recommended a couple sizes for me to try on. I loved getting to try on the different implants to get a feel for what I liked. Dr. Yau provided her expert opinion on what size she would suggest but gave me a range of sizes that I could choose from that would fit my shape. Three months after my consultation I was able to book my surgery date and now I am four months post surgery. I ended up going with the size that Dr. Yau recommended and I love them! I have been debating a breast augmentation for 10 years and finally made a decision to start booking consults. After 2 babies, my breasts are not what they used to be. I saw Dr. Yau and a few other surgeons before making my decision.

I felt uncomfortable during my consults with male surgeons, they recommended implants that I knew would be too big. Dr. Yau, as a woman understands the female body and recommended a few different sizes of implants and said she can decide in surgery which size looks best.

My recovery was fairly easy and I really appreciated the flowers and follow up care from The Institute.

I’m now 4 months post surgery, and I am thrilled with my results. My breasts look natural and I finally feel confident naked and my clothes fit better

Dr. Yau is the consummate professional - ideal in her chosen life's work, helping people reach their aesthetic goals.... you might say a magician!!! The following procedures were suggested - face and neck lift, lip lift and fat grafting.

During my initial consultation I was assured by staff that Dr. Yau would tell me which procedures could be completed successfully and what to expect as a result. Of course many people, including myself, enter into these discussions with high expectations and more than a bit of trepidation. It took a couple of consults and several weeks of mulling over whether or not to proceed and then how far to go.

Dr. Yau took her time on two separate visits to explain each procedure and what results to expect - good and bad. IWAA staff showed me examples of others who had these procedures done and Dr. Yau manipulated my flabby face around to give me some idea of what I would look like. I decided that if I was going to go through this I might as well go big so opted for the "full meal deal" and went all the way.

It was critically important to me to look natural and minimize scarring - I'm bald so not much hair to hide things. Dr. Yau took this older, sagging, drooping face and made it look 20 years younger - very natural and amazingly with no visible scars. She used her in the moment judgement on how far to go to keep things natural... and also did a little work to my chin... Great call Dr. Yau!

I attended one party 17 days after surgery and another 24 days after surgery. To a person everyone commented how great I looked and not one suggested surgery of any kind. I did grow a beard and wore a turtle neck on each occasion as the neck scars were not fully healed. Otherwise my face was right there for everyone to see.

Now I am 8 weeks post op wearing open collar shirts and have trimmed my beard right down. The stitching in front and in back of my ears and under my nose was so finely detailed that it has healed extremely well and faintly visible only to those who know I had surgery. I am confident that in three month to six months I'll be completely healed - looking natural and feeling great.

I recommend Dr. Yau for any work within her field of expertise. Thank you Dr. Yau.

It's been almost a year (10 months) since my breast augmentation surgery with Dr. Yau. I am so bitterly disappointed and heartbroken with my results. I have always been flat chested and have wanted this surgery since I was a teenager. During the consultation I made it as clear as I could that I definitely wanted some size and that this was important to me. The day of the surgery she presents me with the smallest implants were even being offered, I panicked and started to cry, I begged her for the next size up, I just wanted to leave at that point but she assured me "I would love them". For about a month post op I was happy with them, but then I realized that this is as good as it gets and they aren't going to change anymore. Ever since then I've been extremely depressed, some people are surprised when I tell them I've had a breast augmentation as they are so disappointingly small. What was supposed to be a life changing, confidence boosting experience has turned into something that brings to to tears several times per week, I wish to god that I'd have gone with another doctor. If you go with Dr. Yau you'll be given the smallest possible implants, choose wisely unlike I did.
