The first two comments about Dr. Ochs are all BS. I was treated for Hodgkins Lymphoma from her several years ago, and she was the picture of helpfulness, caring, and knowledge. I have recommended her unreservedly over and over again, and will do so repeatedly and confidently until she retires. She is a wonderful doctor in every way. Any person who would write a negative review of her must be a med-seeker, a Eastern medicine nutjob, or a fool.

I saw Dr. Ochs when she worked for the Cancer center at St. Francis Hospital. She came highly recommended by my PCP. I was sent to her to find out the reason for my Lymphocytosis after all other diagnosis were exhausted by my pcp. I was extremely anxious about the possibility of cancer and was in a state of panick waiting in the room for her to come in. My first clue that the appt was not going to go well should have been when she walked in not making eye contact, not bothering to say hello, or shake my hand. She sat down and said, " I doubt you have Luekemia, I treat a lot of people with it and their lymphocytre levels are way higher than your." I said umm ok but what if I am in the beginning stagees then my lymphocyte level wouold be where it is would it not? She cut me off by saying so you have a hissstory of addiction and are currently taking methadone? Confuused as to why this would matter or have any relevance to her diagnosing me and treatingn me I said yes and tried to steer the conversation back to where it should have been ( on my current heallth problem) She interrupted and preceeded to tell me exactly what she thought about people like me adn the use of methadone in addicts. At this point I knew I would not be getting proper medical care from her. The whole appt she used to berrate and belittle me with her ignorant comments about methadone and addiction making sure I knew how she felt about it and what a piece of scum I was for having an addiction. She never did labs, never did a physical exam, and never followed up with me. Shame on you Dr. Ochs.

diagnosed with mets breast cancer in 2000. met with dr. oaks. She misdiagnosed me with liver involvement. Gave me 2 years. I only sought a second opinion because I knew I was allergic to her chemo choice. A simple ultra sound test showed the spot on the liver was just a spot. The next doc gave me 20 years. That was wrong also. Who vets these people? Dr. Oaks was insecure and autocratic, not to mention wrong and late for appointments. She was very concerned about her authority and reputation with other staff. When will they learn the reputation comes from the patient. Put your energy there and all will flow from it. Staff and patients alike know dedication when they see it.
