Do not see this arrogant Dr. He said he was 99.5 percent certain my husband had a planter fibroma and my husband said he wanted to be 100. Percent sure since he read a lump on the bottom of the foot could be cancer. The Dr said you don’t believe me I will give you an mri and stormed out of the room, He gave him a script for an MRI and it had the wrong foot on the script. We went to a Dr in poughkeepsie instead who gave us a correct script for an MRI and the results were neither cancer or planter fibroma. He thought it was a vein. Needless to say while Dr McWilliams staff was nice he was an an abusive arrogant Dr and I would give him minus zero stars if there was such a thing,

I saw Dr. McWilliam for some very painful achilles tendonitis I was experiencing in both legs. I thought he was very professional and helpful at directing my treatment and physical therapy. PT didn't help so at his suggestion he had customized orthotics made for me. These helped me the most. I had to pay around $350 to his office after being told that my insurance wouldn't cover them. However, I found out later that my insurance company sent his office a check to cover about 50% of the cost. Therefore, I was owed a partial refund. I must have called his office staff at least 3 times in order to speak with someone about processing my refund. I even went to his office to speak with someone and got a rude glance from someone behind the receptionist desk. Probably that Maria woman that everyone complains about. Everytime I called the person I was supposed to speak with was out to lunch or busy and that they would call me back. Well, I never got any call backs and never got that refund. So, while the doctor is relatively decent, I can't say much for his office staff. So I voted with my feet and left his practice. Thankfully I never had to see anyone else for ortho related issues.

I guess it depends. Called this practice to see a hand surgeon, who I was told is no long with them. Staff recommended Dr. McWilliams. I asked for a cortisone injection in my hand that with xrays showed I have bone on bone arthritis. He advised topical gel and a brace, of which I have 5. Told me cortisone doesn't always work. I realized he probably didn't have experience with giving a shot in one's hand. Should have been told this up front. He recomended I wait til the new hand guy, who was coming in Aug, I should meet. I then told him I had a incident last weekend with my grandson and pulled or tore my rotator cuff. Did a couple of movements with my arm., didn't recommend PT. I don't know, maybe the guy had a meeting he had to get to. But boy did I get the bum's rush. The original hand surgeon, who I'd seen last year was great but unfortunately left this practice and they have not told a patient. I had xrays last year that clearly showed how bad my hand is. They took new xrays.....Insurance???. I am not an ignornant patient....my husband is a radiologist. I did not mention his name because he is known to this dr. and I don't like to play that card. However, on retrospect....it was a big mistake. And there is blame on the staff, who did not tell me they did not have a "hand surgeon" Shoddy business.
