My husband underwent bypass surgery in 1993, when he was only 38yrs old. He went in for triple bypass but had 5 done. Thanks to Dr Christakis my husband has not needed another surgery since. He has lived a normal, healthy, life since. We never thought back then, that he would get to see his kids get married, and play with his 4 grandkids .He saved my husband’s life and for this we will be forever greatful to him. Dr. Christakis is a raging piece of it, a pompous person, and an underserving nincompoop. He treated me less than my title, and gave me incredibly terrible advice that was opposite of my question for the sake of being sexist.

Dr. Chirstakis replaced my Aortic value in feb 2013 due to an infection, endocarditis. The surgery was done as an emergency giving me no option but to go ahead with it the following morning. This doctor is an artist at his job and I owe him my life .

Dr. Christakis saved my life. There are not the words that can thank him properly. A doctor and a man with so much knowledge & ability. A man who loves to learn , help and give so much of his time for his patients.

My mothers surgery was very last minute as it was discovered she had a shrinking valve. He quickly took her for surgery and it was successful. Unfortunately a few days later we had to deal with a horrible chain of events. No fault of dr. Christakis but due to an unprofessional and inattentive nurse at sunnybrook hospital. Fortunately dr christakis was there the second time she needed assistance. Dr. Christakis is professional, compassionate and an excellent surgeon.
