I went with my daughter 1st time yesterday. I mentioned going to a holistic doctor as we have done everything holistically with my daughter, now 20 and then I mentioned being told we both have "leaky gut" which some medical doctors also acknowledge. Dr Abramovitz then told me considers that B.S. and was extremely rude to me for the remainder of the visit! She completely discredited me in front of my daughter, who is just wanting some answers. She only asked my daughter questions and from that gave a diagnoses and a prescription, and a big bill. At least she suggested exercise to my daughter which would be helpful. I really wouldn't recommend her though because she was so rude.

I have been seeing Dr. Abramovitz about once a month for 8 months now. I would certainly recommend her to friends and family. She is very caring and has been incredibly patient with me. She has used all of the resources she has to help me find some answers (I'm now moving on to a specialist). The one thing I love about Dr. Abramovitz more than anything else is that she is very open to listening to my thoughts and ideas. If I do research or have a question, concern, or something I want to be checked for she actually listens to me. Many doctors I have seen seem intimidated by patient knowledge and get defensive. The front desk staff and nurses at Dr. Abramovitz's office are great too! So friendly and always greet me by name. Another review mentioned that Dr. Abramovitz seems "disconnected" and I will agree that she is not the most extroverted or outgoing person, but neither am I, so I don't hold that against her.
