I can't imagine going to another doctor. I have been a patient of Dr. Ruben's for the past 16 years. I was referred to him by my mother (he was my mom's obstetrician during both her pregnancies). He's very knowledgeable and has an incredible bedside manner, very warm, attentive and comforting.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rubin's for over a decade. He delivered my youngest daughter and was supportive and informative during what turned out to be a very challenging pregnancy. He is a wonderful obstetrician.

I went to this clinic over two years. During that time, it went from a place that took time with patients, to one that shows them through every 10 minutes. Dr. Ruben became arrogant, not listening to any of my thoughts when I had lung issues. I requested a Pulmonologist, he refused, saying he was sending me to an ENT. I mentioned a car accident & nerve damage, wondering if that could affect my diaphram. NO RESPONSE. He went from looking at me and talking to me, to having his back to me staring at the computer. He never bothered to listen to my breathing. I found a new fabulous doctor, who, without me asking, said I needed to see a Pulmonologist. And GUESS WHAT? I have a paralyzed diaphram from the car accident. I also told Ruben I thought a lot of the breathing issue was from allergies, to which he said, "You don't have allergies." NO IDEA,he is just so arrogant he "knows." SO, new fabulous doctor said, "You may have allergies. Would you like to try Singular?" Please note HE ASKED instead if telling me. SURE!! Guess what? The drippy nose, which is why Ruben was sending me to an ENT, went away! BUT, this experience is not why I am angry and writing this. There are two reasons. The first reason: My new doctor's office tried to get my records. Nothing happened. Then I got a "registered letter" from Ruben, saying he was "unwilling to be my doctor any more." So he wanted to send that letter BEFORE my records, to make it LOOK LIKE he got rid of me. BUT the MAIN reason I am writing this is because I have been dealing with a lot if issues since SOMEONE in their office messed up a Rx. First if all, they recorded mt T-3 Thyroid med as 25 MCG thge first time I saw them almost four years ago. FIVE TIMES HIGHER than my Rx. But MAGICALLY, I was never prescribed that amount. I got the proper amount, 5 MCG, until January of 2015, when Jalwolksky okayed an Rx refill, but SOMEONE made it 25 MCG. I took this EXTREME OVERDOSE for SEVEN MONTHS even though I had changed doctors. There were refills left. I suppose I should have noticed, but the pills are both round and white. It was a bit larger, but different companies add fillers, thus varying size. In addition, my thyroid went bad 21 years ago, so one gets used to medicine without thinking. THIS IS A LESSON. BUT, what if this happens to someone else and it is heart medicine and they DIE? My result? I have been struggling with shaking, shortness of breath, profuse sweating and sleep issues & migraine headaches. I have felt HORRID! My blood tests just came back. TSH is BOTTOMED OUT, practically non existent, while T-3 is 6 times higher than normal. THIS IS NOT RIGHT, but Ruben's letter makes it abundantly clear that the patient doesn't matter. I am now dealing with this but it is hard. I don't expect an apology from anyone, because arrogant people don't apologize. They refuse to admit they are not perfect. They refuse to admit a mistake of this magnitude SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.
