Biography

Dr. Samantha Kanarek is our Musculoskeletal, Sports, and Spine specialist. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal disorders, with specialty training in non-surgical care of spine, musculoskeletal, and sports injuries. She performs fluoroscopic-guided spinal injections, ultrasound-guided injections and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, and electrodiagnostic studies related to musculoskeletal and spine conditions. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as fellowship trained in the management of musculoskeletal, sports, and spine conditions. Dr. Kanarek holds medical licenses in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is an active member of several musculoskeletal, sports, and spinal interventional societies, and is a co-author of medical articles and book chapters on sports and spine related conditions. Dr. Kanarek was raised in North Central New Jersey and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, where she graduated with distinction, and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Movement Science. She subsequently attended medical school at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was inducted into her school’s honor society. She also completed a pre-doctoral fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. She completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington, which is recognized as one of the top training programs in the country. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal, Sports, and Spine at the University of Pittsburgh.
