Stay away! Only cares about making money. He will do procedures not needed just to make a quick buck.

I went today for a filling, he also told me I needed a crown. This I knew was accurate because my previous dentist wanted me to have it fixed but it was to expensive. Dr Shawn worked out a payment plan with me and was very helpful in fixing my problems. I love the fact he explained every step to me, so I was more relaxed. I highly recommend him. He's very straight forward and won't as they say sugar coat things.

Horrible dentist. He kept telling me I had cavities and after every filling I was sore for months. They mixed up my xrays multiple times so who knows of I truly had cavities. One day I went for terrible pain and he told me I was clemching my teeth, without an exam. I went to another dentist, who took xrays and examined me, and found that I had impacted wisdom teeth. I would not recommend Dr. Alexander.

I just went to an appointment at this dentist's office. If I could leave no stars I would. First, my appointment was at 1:00 pm. Being a new patient, I arrived at about 12:45 for paperwork and what not. I sit in the waiting room while the front office staff "verifies my insurance" and gossips about patients not being able to pay for services. At 1:60 I FINALLY get called back and led to a room and prepped for a cleaning despite the fact that I told them on the phone when I made the appointment that I was coming in for a broken tooth. After telling the girl that, she left and some man who never even introduced himself to me came in, looked and poked around in my mouth for a few seconds. This man then said to me and I quote,"your tooth has a cavity. That's why it broke. It's not my problem that you drink too much tea." He then asked me if I was previously going to a dentist; I told him who I'd been seeing. His response then was, "well the roots of your teeth are too big. I won't do anything for you. You should just go back to that other dentist. Is that okay?" When I say, "no. That dentist doesn't accept my new insurance; your office is the one that accepts my new one." He replied, "oh well. Not my problem. Don't be offended." I then walked out without stopping for anything. This "dentist" (that title is questionable at best) has absolutely no bedside manner and questionable ethics in my experience with him and I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy or anyone else. Save yourself the embarrassment that I went through today and just don't go to this clinic or whatever it is. Horrible.

I just moved to the Evans/Grovetown area and needed a dentist for my 6 month check up. My insurance (GEHA) recommended Dr. Alexander. I went in for a cleaning and a follow up to get couple cavities taken care of and had a pleasurable experience each time. (Apparently my former dentist missed these for a while.) He was professional and friendly. The only thing that seemed weird to me was that he had me sign some waivers. One saying that he informed me of the cavities and one after they were filled. That never happened to me before, but it didn't seem like a big deal. The staff there is also friendly, professional, and helpful.

Came in for cleaning last week and all of a sudden I have about 20 cavities ? That's weird I go every six months and just moved here . I feel like he is making up stuff for $. Rude and offensive . Wouldn't let him touch my dog let alone my kids! Those other reviews must be fake.

I have dental anxiety and I was experiencing a emergency with a toothache. Upon calling the receptionst asked if I could be there in 30 minutes. Dr. Alexander and his staff were compassionate and was able to help me feel safe and comfortable. He was very informative and thorough. He was kind and gentle, he is the best dentist I have ever been to. I had my fiance schedule an appointment on spot.

He personally is an ok doctor. Prior to my visit with him I had little or no problems with teeth pain or sensitivity. On my first visit I was told I had build up on my teeth. She never flat out said it was gingivitis, but handed me a pamphlet for gum disease. I allowed them to clean my teeth and do work to fix the issue and was told I must come back later to have more work done. The dentist then came in to tell me I have bad bacteria in my mouth, I must have my wisdom tooth pulled, and I have 5 cavities. I was asked repeatedly about mouth pain. Each time I told them no. I returned the following week to get the fillings done. While numb and in the chair the nurse comes in saying I must pay 25 dollars and wanted me to pay it then. I think that is poor practice because she should have gotten all of that when I was being checked in. Not after I have been numbed and placed in a chair. I gave her my credit card and then let him work on my mouth in which he proceeded to whole time to tell me I must brush my teeth more. I did not argue although I brush my teeth as per normal of twice a day. Once the procedure was done, he stated that if no pain I no longer needed to have wisdome tooth pulled. I asked them what to do if pain etc and was told not to worry. I scheduled for a second appointment for the other side and left. Within 1 hr the medicine wore off and my mouth hurt beyond measure. I fought the pain for hours before I called and asked for some type of help of remendy (mind you I took Motrin, aleve, tylonel extra strength, etc. ). They told me to call back in another hour and just gargle salt water. In 1 hr no change and when I called back I was lectured on how much bacteria was in my mouth and I need more salt water. I was debating on even returning when fate stepped in and I had to cancel my other appointments. Unfortunately it was last minute and I had to pay a 50 charge. Ever since I have repeated pain throughout my left side of my mouth. I can't eat anything without pain.

I see Dr. Alexander 2 times a year for routine cleanings. I never have any problems with insurance because I know he is in my network. I think people blame doctors and dentists when claims arent paid like they want. But its my responsibility to know because I don't want an unpaid bill. I mean I wouldn't take my child to ER or doctor if i knew my insurance would not pay because they arent in network. Dr.Alexanders staff is friendly and you can tell they like to be there. The old doctor never had a special camera that takes photos inside the mouth for me and the insurance to see what is needed. Ultimately its my choice whether I chose to have a filling or not and clearly the photos show its needed. Never felt persuaded in any way. The exam and findings were presented again by the office manager with the insurance details. I called insurance and she was right. I like this office and staff and would recommend to my friends and neighbors.
