I wish I could give this office zero stars. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a healthcare provider. I usually always give healthcare workers the benefit of the doubt and I would normally never leave a negative review- but this needs to be addressed. From not being allowed to go back with our two year old son to being told that they do not send dental records to other offices, this place has been a nightmare from start to finish. The hygienist we saw was very kind, but other than that it was all negative.
She claimed my daughter had cavities, but could not show us on the X-rays where. Turns out, upon talking to others who have seen her, she is notorious for making up treatment plans that aren’t necessary. We were told that to treat her cavities, I could not come back with my child and she would be strapped down and wrapped in a blanket. We only went here because it was the only place that would take our insurance plan. Got a new plan for the year and we are so excited to go back to our old dentist, who we loved. PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR BABIES HERE!

Our children love coming to see Dr. Ashcraft! Her staff are always friendly! Have never had any problems. Her & her staff are very knowledgeable & explain in detail treatment needs & how important dental health is! Until you have actually experienced this office please don’t judge them by the negative reviews! They are AWESOME!!

We had one appt there. She told me each had multiple cavities and would need aggressive treatment including fillings, root canals, etc Our previou dentist had never mentioned any problems. I had a second opinion as I wasn't comfortable. Turns out - their teeth are fine, DO N OT GO. I can only suppose this was an attempt to bill our insurance even though the treatment was not necessary. Also - I had a 730 appt. It was after 11 by the time we left. Horrible.

Want to talk about payment before you walk out the door. They don’t care about their patients unless you have free dental care or pay in advance.

Only go to this doctor if it’s your last resort!!!
My son is terrified of her. He calls her the monster lady. I will travel miles to not have to go to her.

Horrible !!!! Intimidates my child. Put him in a head lock and he said he wasn’t numb very good. She didn’t care and proceeded with his dental work as he screamed. Abusive behavior.

I see this so called dentist is still receiving low ratings. It doesn’t surprise me! Word to wise-if you are a patient with insurance this place will never let you know when you have credit on your balance. They will continuously collect money at every appointment. When your child is finished with all the unnecessary treatments and if there is a credit they will not inform you. If your child changes dentists due to aging out or your choice they keep the balance. Please keep track of your account and demand your refund!

My son is two and was born in Oregon and has gone to the dentist 3 times for cleaning and has loved the dentist, never had any issues with his teeth. Last cleaning was at the end of June in Oregon before we moved back to South Carolina with no cavities. My 2 year old son saw Ashcraft in August the wait in the waiting room was ridiculous not to mention I had one of the first appointments in the morning, and she told me he had 4 major cavities and they wanted to do sedation and take care of the cavities. I went ahead and scheduled for the procedure, something was not sitting right with me, I brush my sons teeth 2x a day and how could he get 4 major cavities in less than 2 months. I started doing research and was not happy with what I saw. I just took my son into another dentist for a second opinion and was told his teeth are spectacular. If you don't feel right about something get a second opinion. I will never take my son back there or refer anyone. His appointment was at 8 and didn't leave till 11. Ashcraft is just after the money.
