Dr. Van Dyk is amazing, he really helped with daughter when she was in NICU after she was born and he also helped a lot when my daughter had pneumonia. Amazing man with amazing bedside manner and very helpful. Thank you for your amazing care

Dressed in blue jeans and a red plaid flannel shirt, Dr. Van Dyk didn't look like the stereotypical white-coat-clad doctor as he cheerfully invited my 7-year-old son and me into his office with his pleasant Arnold-Schwarzenegger-like voice with a Dutch twist.

Of all the doctors I have visited in my lifetime, for one or another of my seven kids, myself, or my partner, Dr. Johan Van Dyk sets the standard for how an excellent doctor should be. Our third (and definitely last, as long as he remains in Kamloops) pediatrician, he is a keeper. His communication was like that of an old friend as he so naturally shared scholarly information on ADHD, peppered with anecdotal tidbits about his family members, which added emphasis to the confidence and personal interest he displayed in his field of medicine.

True to my family doctor's assumption, we were very happy with Dr. Van Dyk's help for my son. He thoroughly explained how the various ADHD medications work, and why he thought the one he chose was the right one onto which to move my son.

The office staff are pleasant, too. The waiting room is clean, bright, modern, and homey, with a video slide show always on the TV built into the front desk displaying beautiful local and abroad landscape photos as well as action shots of families, presumably those of the clinic staff, accompanied by gentle music.

Even though it is a 2-1/2 hour drive for us to get to Dr. Van Dyk, as we live in a small town where our medical choices are limited, it is well worth the trip.

Dr. Van Dyk is the Dr. you want for your kids. Even if he doesn't have the answer he will find it! He is one of the most amazing Dr.'s I have ever encountered!

Dr.Van Dyk is amazing! I would recommend him to anyone! He is always thoughtful, listens to your concerns, never makes you feel rushed and on top of it all has an amazing personality and a great sense of humor. If only every doctor was as wonderful as him!

Dr Johan van Dyk is the best! He is so good with my son, he explains everything clearly to us and always takes whatever time we need. We never feel rushed and he makes you feel like you are the only patient that matters when he is with you. He is quick to look for outside advice or aid when he needs it, but is also a wealth of knowledge and information himself.

Dr. Van Dyk saw my young daughter twice for bowel problems. He blew me away with his gentle and sweet bedside manner with her. He was very kind and very well educated in our issues. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and took all of our concerns seriously. Wonderful doctor. If only they were all this great!!

Dr Van Dyk is a great paediatrician. We took our five month old in for an appointment and Dr Van Dyk was amazing. He was so gentle with our baby and he took his time and did a very thorough exam. I highly recommend him!

excellent Doctor been taking our kids there, spends time with them and is just the best I have ever seen. Our kids love to go see him and he is great with them. Very helpful and if you can get your kids to this guy you will be forever happy with the outcome. Has been a excellent source of information and sounding board in regards to our daughters development. I would just like to say Thank you Dr Van Dyke from the bottom of our hearts. C & D.T.
