Amazing Physician. Understands pregnancy and issues after pregnancy. Has a good sense of humor, and honestly after about 25 + years I consider him to be my friend. I add that he does put medical issues first and foremost which is a top priority. He is very good at calming the over anxious personality. I know he will retire eventually, and I don't think there is a physician in Central Ohio that can fill his shoes. Also has an amazing nurse Susie, and great staff.

Compassionate, Knowledgeable, and never makes you feel rushed. He is prompt and respectful of my time. Office staff is the weakest link but his nurse Susie and Dr. Krantz make a dynamic duo! Patient of his for 20 years and I wouldn't change doctors if you paid me to.

I'm not normally one to comment, but in looking into the reviews of Dr. Krantz's office, I was surprised by the glowing reviews. It has not been our experience. As a counter-point to the other reviews (we may be the outlier):

My impression is that Dr. Krantz is knowledgeable and an experienced expert in his field. Not a man of many words and so you have to do your homework to come up with questions as, in our case, he has walked into every appointment and said, "questions?" and that's it. I chalk this up to us having a smooth pregnancy thus far, and he has always answered all our questions in a concise, insightful, easy-to-understand manner. But if your mother-to-be craves a modicum of Doctor-driven feedback/information/assurance (as I imagine most first-time couples do) Dr. Krantz's style can be off-putting. However, based on Dr. Krantz himself, I would definitely recommend him to others.

His staff is not good, and this, unfortunately, has caused huge stress to my wife’s pregnancy. I realize it's a field where there are not the normal signals/incentives which would lead to good service, but the nurses and receptionists have been unresponsive, unprofessional and unfriendly. Normally this would not be a big deal, (as we have never questioned Dr. Krantz's ability and experience), but when your wife is pregnant and sensitive to being rebuffed by nurses (e.g. my wife was told to stop 'freaking out' about a test that they told us was important but we could not get in touch with a nurse to learn the results in a timely manner due to the difficulty of getting through to anyone in the office) it becomes an important consideration. This is but one example.

This may be how all OBGYN offices are; however, when I saw all 5 star reviews, I thought I would provide our experience as it has been well short of perfect. I would not recommend Dr. Krantz, based mainly on his staff and the experience they provide.

Dr.Krantz is great he delivered my brothers and years later delivered my sons. I would recommend him tonEVERYONE! He's very polite and gives the best advice, he makes great decisions when needed is short time. His office staff is great as we'll they are so personable I love them all!

Doctor Krantz has been my ob/gyn since he delivered ME 32 years ago. He was my mothers doctor and became mine as well. He has delivered 4 of my 6 sons. My husband is military so we have traveled for several years, whenever we are home, he is the only OB I have ever seen. We are currently pregnant again, but in Arizona, I can't wait to get home again, as we will be about 20 weeks (possibly with twins) and I'm eager to get back to the quality care I have comet expect, but have never found away from him. He is very personable and never leaves you with un-answered questions. I value him immeasurably.

Dr. Krantz has delivered both of my children. I know a lot of women prefer female OB's, but Dr. Krantz's bedside manner as well as his expertise outweighs that requirement in my book. He is very caring, personable, and honest. He made my husband and I both very at ease with our first pregnancy, and we always recommend him to our friends and family. He does have a female OB in his practice so if you have a strong opinion in the matter, you are still in good hands. His entire practice of OB's is very professional and up to date on medical information. His bedside manner is like no other. When I was in the hospital for my first child's birth, I had nurses and other doctors who would walk in and turn on all the lights at 6am and abruptly wake me up. When Dr. Krantz came by to check on me, he'd quietly turn on a dim light and wake me up enough to answer questions and left as quietly as he'd arrived. He truly cares about your experience. He is very prompt, thorough, and expedient for appts.

Dr. Krantz is the best doctor of any type I have ever had. He is thorough, kind, compassionate, and incredibly skilled. He is also very gentle with his patients and takes his time. Each and every time I see him he makes sure to ask how I am and he remembers and genuinely cares. I had a very difficult pregnancy with multiple complications but Dr. Krantz and his wonderful staff were always there to answer questions and provide comfort and solutions. My insurance has recently changed and I need a new OB/GYN and I hope and pray I will find someone I like as much, but I doubt it. He is one of a kind.

I LOVE Dr. Krantz. I wouldn't see any other Gyno in the world! I beg him every time I see him to NEVER retire. When the man walks into the room for the exam he always shakes my hand and always asks "How's it going" and I always have something smart alec to say and he just shakes his head and smiles. Can't feel that good about many Dr.'s in this world. He is the greatest!

A phenominal doctor. Will do research if he doesn't know the answer. He delivered both my children (I complications with both.) I truly believe he is the only reason my children are ok today.
