Dr. Tassis recently performed surgery on my perforated appendix and repaired a hernia. He was very patient and thorough while explaing the surgery prior to and reassuring me going into the surgery. He is clearly well educated and knowledgeable but he also has a good sense of humor. From the onset Dr. Tassis gave my husband and I an an impression of having high competence in his field which undertandably I needed before undergoing surgery. He visited me the day after surgery to discuss the success of what turned out to be a rather complicated surgery and he answered any questions I had without rushing me. Perhaps as impressive or more than the above mentioned, Dr. Tassis responded to an email I sent directly to the hospital regarding my medical case and subsequent sub-specialty referrals I was hoping to get. Dr. Tassis went above and beyond to respond to my request to speak with him some two months post surgery. Dr. Tassis is an asset to any hospital who hires him for his professionalism, high skillset and friendly and caring bedside manner. Thank you to Dr. Tassis.

Dr. Tassis is a kind, caring surgeon. Before my surgery, he made me feel calm and at ease. He is a surgeon who looks after his patients, and he does so even at the follow up appointment.

Dr. Tassis performed emergency surgery on my husband 2 nights ago. My husband, a fairly young healthy guy, ended up with a bowel blockage. I was caught off guard and was fairly stressed out with how quickly decisions and surgery had to happen. We met Dr Tassis and despite my frazzled state, he put my mind at ease. He took the time to answer all of the questions that I had thoroughly and was a straight shooter with providing information. I appreciate his direct nature, he is confident with his knowledge and experienced with clear communication with patients without being vague and too clinical as some doctors can be. He is also respectful and speaks to you without the superiority complex that some doctors have that prevents them from making meaningful connections with their patients. Excellent surgeon and great person. We feel lucky that he was the one the surgeon who worked a very long day to help my husband. Great experience with this doctor and all of the team at Trillium Health.

Dr.Tassis saved my mother life. He performed emergency surgery on a perforation in her intestines . He came to see her several times in the ICU and even stopped by to check on her progress throughout her hospital stay. He was always kind and had a wonderful bedside manner.
