Highly unprofessional - she shows up late or not at all. Extremely narcissistic and judgmental. Shames patients and blames individuals.

I have never had such an calming experience with any doctor . Dr Reddy was the first doctor to acknowledge my ADHD and the effect it may have had on my overall mental health including my depression and anxiety. She also understood how important it was to have it treated. I feel that my life has turned around for the better, I think her compassion, understanding and knowledge is a hard combination to find in a doctor and I am eternally grateful

Dr Reddy saved my life . After seeing almost fifteen doctors , three times ECT , and being told I was ‘ treatment resistant .’ She took a fresh approach . First of all she spent hours going through all my past medications , doses , interactions taking the time to find out why treatment had failed . In the end she increased my dose of Prozac ( which I stopped in 1994) . She got me off the lithium and started LAMOTRIGINE and Wellbutrin ( she is the first doctor who combines the three while others only prescribed them separately ).

I have been able to get back to work and have regained joint custody of my children . She never once gave up on me ( other doctors told me they could not help me anymore . In two years there was only one week when she wasn’t available during her brothers funeral , but her assistant Lorraine Calle due back and checked that I was Ok . Dr Reddy sent in an overdue script the day of the funeral and apologized the next day that it was late .
From the start I have been touched by her patience and determination . She holds me accountable and makes sure that I stay well . I have never had the compassion and understanding and care that I have received from dr Reddy and her team . I want to thank Dr Reddy for everything she has done for me so far . She is the best !!!

Well, she's better than the last doctor I tried but not by a whole lot. She prescribed medications that didn't make sense for my situation. Then she prescribed medications to deal with side effects from different medications. It began pretty clear she didn't have a solid grasp on my disorder and was just doing trial and error.

    I discontinued for several reasons:

    1) Her medication management was becoming concerning

    2) It was frustrating to be paying a doctor who I could barely comprehend due to her practice using bad video quality software

    3) She is hard to reach. I once got disconnected from a video call and about 2 minutes later I call the office to let them know and all of the sudden Dr. Reddy is unavailable to continue

Dr Reddy uses tactics that I would expect from a first year psych major. She just rehearses things you would find in any psychology text book. She was not able to analyze my specific situation to find an appropriate treatment. Instead, she made me partake in infantile exercises; for example, I was having trouble letting go of someone so she asked me to write their name on a price of paper, crumple it and then throw it away. Like I said- very basic, definitely would NOT recommend!

Dr. Gundu A. Reddy (Office Visits & Telepsychiatry)'s response
The MoCA is the standard screening test for dementia, as is the Folstein mini mental status exam. Extensive Neuropsychological testing is only conducted if there is evidence of a cognitive deficit, if the patent requests, or if testing will affect the diagnosis or treatment. It is not usually performed on a first visit. Whether you are a first year medical student, or a professor of Neurology the initial screening tests are still the same. Dr. Reddy is available to discuss if further explanation is required for dementia and Neurological Deficit post CVA.
Although tiresome when conducting evaluations especially capacity evaluations, sometimes simple standardized tests are needed for medicolegal reasons. We thank you for your patience.

Rare combination of excellent knowledge and skill with actual caring. I was in a crisis when I moved to New York and had no doctor, no meds, and no prospects of continuity of care. I live in rural NY State and there is medicine here in this poor Appalachian county. I inquired about intake on a Friday and she met with my by video on a Saturday and got me started on meds!

Dr Reddy is exceptionally smart and talented. I learnt more abou thow to manage my ADD in one vist with her than I did from three years of seeing my old psychiatrist who just refilled my adderall prescriptions ( wrong dose and formulation ). I have been seeig her for three months, am doing better at work, and everyone is noticing, and my day to day life is easier. I can't thank her enough. She has also given me the tools to manage on my own, and doesn't lock you into lifetime weekly visits, unlike some others. She reduced the freuency of my visits once I started feeling better, and I only see her once a month now.

As well as teaching me to manage symptoms she also helped me to understand the benefits of ADD, how my brain works differently, and how I can utilize these differences, by focusing my energy towards areas where I can excel, and delegating tasks I am not good at. I used to be embarassed about having ADD, and never beleived it could be a blessing and not a curse. I really love this doctor.
