Dr Arthur is an amazing doctor. After years of trying at another clinic thanks to her and Hannam Fertility, we now have a beautiful baby girl! She is knowledgeable, compassionate and truly cares for her patients. I am forever grateful.

I did 2 unsuccessful cycles of IVF with Dr Arthur. Have never met in person. Though we knew our chances were not high, She was terribly cold with lack of compassion. I could never reach her for follow up and she was not humble enough to discuss new research. She disclosed terrible results by email. I would not recommend this provider.

I was with her for more than a year and I’ve never met her, she never showed up , it’s always her assistant attends the meeting. Not helpful at all!

I don't usually do ratings specially if I had a bad experienced. But while reading all the public comments or ratings it really hit me.
I was with the care of Dr Rebecca Arthur since 2016- 2021 my last egg donor procedure which didn't worked.
I had 3 IUI that is failed, many cycle of time intercourse with medications and injections which didn't worked. Years passby since I don't know anyone and I heard that my Sinai is the best fertility so I still stayed with her trying to give a chance maybe the next round will work. To keep it short I was monitored with blood works and ultrasound. So as I read the results it says there that I have fibroids with the size of 3.5x 2.8 I asked her many times if this is a concern and Dr Arthur said no since it's small...She suggested Egg donor due to my age(42) egg donor. Because I trusted her so we made anything to produce the money to buy for the eggs in US ist round didn't worked again. So I asked her maybe because I have the fibroids and it gets bigger in size. She said, I don't think so... because she said the fibroids wasn't in the way where the baby will be formed/ fertilize. So she suggested another round of egg donor and said this time she is very positive that will work. We trusted her again so we went for the 2nd rounds and same it didn't worked. We are so devastated with my husband, we both cried and felt like we are the most depressed and bankrupt people. So since it's COVID I spoke only to her through phone..she's so nice but I believed I wasn't handled right. She should tell me straight that I have the fibroids and should refer me for further test or invistigations. From that day my husband told me not to go to her anymore.
A month later we went to see another Gynecologist and they told me I have Endometriosis plus firbroids..And the dr told me this might be the reason I couldn't get pregnant. After 2 months I have a very bad pelvic pain that I needed to go to Emergency. Guess what, sue to endometriosis... I was scheduled.fir surgery in-order to remove...that's how bad I was being Handled by dr Arthur...

Caring, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. In March 2021, Dr. Arthur did my embryo transfer at Mount Sinai. Due to COVID-19 protocols, my husband was not permitted in the hospital. She immediately put me at ease and took the time to make me comfortable and thoroughly explained the procedure. She said it could not have gone any better - and sure enough she was right! I was able to see my 'beam of light' at the moment of transfer. It goes without saying - she played an instrumental role in the creation of new life. Forever grateful, Dr. Arthur. Thank you for your kindness and compassionate work that you do.

No no no no stay way from this doctor. Save your precious time and money. And while you're at it stay away from Mount Sinai too.

She doesn't care at all about you. It's a volume thing for them. Even though it was suggested by the radiologist that I get further testing done, she dismissed it. She initially suggested that I do SIX ROUNDS of IUI, 3 with meds and 3 without. She said that I had very little to no chance of getting pregnant and that IVF funding would be better put to use for someone else. She said she didn't think it was worth it to try with my own eggs and and that I should just go ahead and buy an egg (at $40k).

The first round of IUI I was informed that the clinic was having everyone SELF MONITOR at HOME with OVULATION sticks. Because it was my first time and I was naive I just did what they said and when it showed a blue line went in for the first IUI at a cost of $2000.

Then I did some digging and research and learned that actually you should be properly cycle monitored by way of an pelvic ultrasound and blood test throughout your cycle so that they can be sure that the timing is precise. So, on the second round I insisted that I be properly monitored. I had almost 10 blood tests and ultrasounds. When I went in for the second IUI attempt they tried to send in a STUDENT to do the procedure I was paying ANOTHER $2000 for. I said I was not comfortable with that.

After this attempt I had another follow up appointment with Dr. Arthurs. At the appointment, she literally repeated almost word for word what she had told me at the very first appointment. She hadn't familiarized herself with anything that had happened with either IUI attempt or ALL the information that was recorded during the second round. When I questioned her about it, she visually scrambled to find the information and dismissed it again rudely. She was short, cold, rude and just not really there.

Even though I qualified for IVF funding (which I had to fight to get on the list for) and had a spot I just couldn't in good conscious continue with the clinic. I did not feel like I was getting care.

The clinic has used covid to excuse themselves of more and more work and just increase the volume of patients. It's hard enough to be going through this process, but to have reception call your name loudly for everyone to hear, to have sign in computers with your name facing the waiting room and to be rushed along with 20 or so other women like cattle is not what I call care.

It is actually astounding to me that Mount Sinai has maintained any kind of positive reputation with the way that they treat women going through this process.

As for this Doctor, I don't even know why she is in this business. She could make lots of money doing lots of other things.

At the end, I have transferred clinics - and in my first visit they accomplished the tests on site and gave me feedback that I have ENDOMETRIOSIS which is very significant as it means that IUI is actually a waste of time. This was what confirmed she hadn't taken a look at any of my files. The information was there. All she had to do was read it. She wasted a year of my time.

Doctors like this have no place in this profession. Just awful.

My experience with Dr Arthur was always amazing. I had a complicated case of PCOS and she patiently took me through all the steps of the fertility process. I tried every type of fertility treatment from timed intercourse to IVF. She helped me get the mental health support I needed during the process to ensure that I was mentally stronger to deal with the loss and disappointment that comes with fertility treatments. It doesn’t always work out on the first try or the 10th. That is part of the process. The clinic staff was always helpful and kind. I always felt supported and in the end I was able to give birth to a beautiful baby girl.

My partner and I had an initial consult with Dr. Arthur to discuss the option of IVF to eliminate my incurable genetic kidney disease from our genetic line. During the visit, Dr. Arthur said we were unlikely to receive OHIP funding, and that my condition wasn’t bad enough to warrant a need for IVF. After admitting to knowing very little about my specific kidney disease - Polycystic Kidney Disease - Dr. Arthur said we were welcome to proceed with the tests, but she didn’t think we should put our names on the funding waiting list.

My partner and I left extremely unsettled, and feeling embarrassed for having even visited the clinic. A few months later, we were referred to a new clinic where we had a completely different experience. We now have a healthy baby, from ivf, that will not suffer from PKD.

I received a call from OHIP funding from Mt. Sinai while 3 months pregnant with my first child. The clinic I went to provided me with funding the month after my initial visit.

I have a medical background (studied medicine in Europe). Only met with her once and was absolutely shocked at her lack of understanding of hormone imbalances and use of supplements to improve egg quality! I recommend that you find a reproductive endocrinologist with a holistic understanding of and approach to infertility as well as a reputable naturopath that specializes in infertility. Good luck!
