I met Dr. Cotterill in 1992 for female hair loss. I had 10 transplants with him over 15 years filling in the areas affected. You cannot tell I had anything done. Combined with minoxidil spray and a laser hair comb I look like I have normal hair. He is truly awesome. I hope he practices for awhile yet in case my kids need a transplant. He is top notch and I come from working in the medical field as well.

Dr. Cotterill was an absolute pleasure to deal with. His staff are incredible and made me feel very comfortable. The results are exactly what I expected. I would recommend him to anyone. I'm praying he's still in the business for at least another 10 years in case I need another procedure one day.

Not happy with my results. Doesn't look natural to me . Looks pluggy . I hate myself for doing this

***This review is based on pre-op experience***Firstly Dr. Cotterill's secretary is outstanding! Very accomodating, answers email in a timely manner, was able to squeeze in a consultation for me in short notice and called me with the first opening they had.
As for Dr. Cotterill, he is very friendly, knowledgeable and personable. He took the time to go over all questions I had (even though it meant him staying later at the office that day). He has been in the industry a very long time and had a mentor when he first got into this field (which not many doctors can say). My wife came with me to see 3 different doctors. We did visit another doctor closer to our house first and after that my wife said she needed to be blown away by Cotterill to convince her that we should travel downtown Toronto for the procedure isntead. Needless to say I booked an FUT with Cotterill and I will be writing back post-op for additional feedback.

I think I may be one of Dr. Cotterill's first patience.I started my first transplant in March 1990.In his early practice he worked along side with Dr.Walter Unger.Well, I stayed with him through the years as I needed more transplants.I could be Dr. Cotterills biggest fan. I think he is the absolute best hair transplant surgeon you could find.Dr. Cotterill did fantastic work for me.I was destined to be the guy with the classic horseshoe.I think its an understatement how great he is but the care and comfort he gives during your actual transplant and after is just over whelming.He would be constantly asking me during the transplant,are you in any pain? Are you warm enough?He would tell me how good everything is going and even call me at home that night to see how I was feeling.When I call him on his personal cell home,I can tell he is happy to talk to me and always calls me back.If you are checking these reviews for a great hair transplant doctor ,please go see Dr. Cotterill he is the best and a real caring man. I'm surprised at the poor reviews, as Dr. Cotterill and his staff were very informative, meticulous, attentive and demonstrated a caring bedside manner. The surgery and my recovery went well. Now its time to wait for the growth.

I went to Hair Club for Men for my first transplant, 3000 grafts FUT, and had my 2nd transplant, 3000 grafts FUT, with Dr. Cotterill. Everything was far superior with Dr. Cotterill - the surgery was performed lying down instead of sitting up (superior method and less stressfull), Hair Club left me with a scar line and I had big swelling after the surgery - on the other hand my 2nd surgery had very little swelling and Paul does the tri-something closure that minimizes a scar line. The cost was a couple thousand cheaper as well going to Dr. Cotterill than Hair Club. Very honest and sincere person, the staff were very professional and the entire process went very smoothly. Simply conclusion - I recommend Dr. Cotterill for someone looking ro get a hair transplant.

Had a surgery done 2 years ago and had to front/top portion of my scalp done. Got excellent results. I had almost no hair left, now it looks fine when styled properly. Now, 2 years later I had a second surgery to fix the top/back of my head. since it's only been 2 month, it's too early to tell how it will turn out but probably the same as first time - as far as I know, the technique etc. were identical.
