Dr. Pongos is the best doctor alive in this world. She is a "whole body doctor". She views you as a total human being, not just a bladder infection or itchy scalp. She is a sole practitioner (with a PA to help), and so you shouldn't consider all the bells and whistles of a clinic or group. She is really, really caring and really, really smart. I am a healthcare advocate for some of my family since I have a little background in medicine, and I know the good ones from the bad ones, believe me. I've seen both! Dr. Pongos doesn't overbook her appointments since she DOES NOT LIKE to keep patients waiting. How refreshing! Her office staff people are medical assistants, but they are usually with her for years and they LISTEN to you and give good messages to the doctor. They return phone calls quickly, sometimes the next day, but that's the way a small practice works. I doubt if we'll see doctors like Maria Pongos for very much longer. She's one of the last of her kind!

She was nice but the staff was talking to some drug rep and not helping me with insurance questions. She needs more help to make the visit better.

I recently had a medical condition that I was afraid had been a mild stroke that was affecting my memory, vision and was enough of a problem I thought I would have to quit work on medical conditions. My eye doctor was going to change my glasses to deal with my "lazy eye" which he claimed was my vision problem - nevermind I couldnt remember peoples names. Dr. Pongos ordered new blood work to test for levels of B12 and once given the results made immediate accomodations for me to get my B12 and offer her staff to give me the injections if I needed. Between her recognition of the root problem and her additional observation of my anxiety issues and her careful use of proper medicine she has changed my life for the better. As an older male, I had never had a female doctor and was concerned about that. Dr. Pongos is straight forward, concerned and seemingly in touch with any possibility of her patients embarrasment and has a manner that makes it easy to discuss any of my concerns. I

Staff more interested in catering to drug reps than patient follow through. There is no RN or LPN in the office, just medical assistants. There are no blood draws or IV's able to be performed in the office, so services are limited. Doctor has no service or treatment for off hours other than referral to local hospital ER.
