His knowledge base seems limited and he seems to be more interested in pleasing the insurance company over my health care needs.

I've been going to Dr. Steger for years. Always thought he was very thorough and helpful, but once I was diagnosed with something that required a little effort he changed his tune. He's great when you're healthy and require an occasional antibiotic for a cold, but he does not follow-up nor does he give you any time when you have a serious health issue. Acton Medical should be for children only. When it comes to middle aged to older adults, they are incompetent and spend limited time with you. I would say they are typically 10 minutes behind schedule and only spend 7 minutes with you on average. Need to focus on more quality than quantity of patients.

Dr. Steger is my primary physician. He is excellent.Very thorough; patient at answering questions; good at explaining medical issues and alternate treatments, and also why something doesn't need to be treated. Highly recommended.

My doctor for over 20 years. Has a great low-key style, will always answer questions, give complete explanations, and, where there is medical disagreement about tests and treatments, explain alternatives fully, giving all sides of the disagreements. He's not afraid to say "I don't know" or "there's no medical consensus" when that happens to be the case. As far as I'm concerned, there's no one better.
