Dr. Talland is a great physician. She always treats me with respect, listens to my opinions and answers my questions. She never rushes me and takes time to explain her recommendations. She is very knowledgeable. She is also warm and kind!

I've been a patient of Dr. Talland for 6 or 7 years. I am always impressed at the amount of time she spends with me at physicals. She is very thorough not only with the examination but in talking with me to understand everything there is to know pertaining to my health. She is well-versed on the latest research and recommendations but doesn't insist a patient follow everything to the letter. At one point I neglected to go for fasting bloodwork. The next time I was in she sent me to the lab for non-fasting testing after deeming me noncompliant, but it was in a friendly joking manner, and I did go to the lab. The staff is generally very helpful. A few times I have called in and gotten prescriptions faxed to the pharmacy without a visit as there are "protocols" and if your symptoms meet them, they are okay with doing this. I feel like Dr. Talland and the staff are partners, not dictators. The nurse practitioners are good too!

I'm a big fan of Dr. Talland. She's smart, intellectually curious, a great listener, and she knows her stuff. She is also a believer in patient empowerment ... she gives me choices and options, and if she doesn't want to do something, she explains why. I've been seeing her for several years ... I believe that you have to go on a waiting list to be added as a new patient, and then wait a year, but after a year you can be added to her patient roster.
