I noticed the negative reviews have all disappeared. What are you hiding? My experience with her is that she lies, steals, and has a secret agenda. Look to other sites for more accurate reviews.

Dr. Pender/Roche is a wonderful doctor. She has put my child front and center and for her work to be effective, you (parent/parents) have to back burner your personal emotions and put your child first. Quash all your pride, take nothing personal and learn to listen to her observations. She has always been very respectful to me and working with her, I have grown into a better parent myself.

Dr. Pender Roche was AMAZING and helped our family through a time of absolute chaos and a messy divorce. She made decisions that looked out for the best interest of my children and was wonderful to work with. She gives updates, feedback and is extremely honest. Her job is not to please all, but to look out for the best interest of children and that is exactly what she did for my family.

The smartest, most patient, most helpful individual who has worked with our children in the past several years. The highest possible endorsement I can give her: our children trust Dr. Pender completely. She has the best interests of the kids at heart, and does that mean she occasionally angers parents? Of course. Her job is to help kids. She is one of the very best at her job and I would trust her with my children any day.

My experience of Dr. Pender-Roche (and the number of well respected lawyers, judges and forensic psychologists I know of) is that she pays close attention to detail—like reading thorough all documentation presented to her, asks questions, gathers information comes to conclusions based on accepted psychological constructs, and gets more information when she needs it. It is the very definition of professional competence, which, in my experience can be painfully lacking in this profession, especially when it comes to family dynamics.

I'd like to point out that anyone who does evaluations and recommendations for contentious situations is likely going to have an unhappy party with any case they are involved in. If the parties involved could have worked out their differences they would not not be involved with the types of skill set therapists like Dr. Pender-Roche possess.

I've also noticed the negative responses here are very emotionally driven— in my opinion meant to cause upset and distress in the reader rather than help them make an informed decision. Throwing out accusations with little more than opinions about they think happened does not do anything constructive. If you look at the positive responses, they are much calmer in tone, an include specific examples of what she DOES or DID, not commentary about who they think she is or guesswork as to what she was thinking.

I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Pender Roche has been an angel for our family. We started seeing her 8 months ago, and she has been the MOST important part of helping my kids handle the sudden divorce and contentious custody issues. She is so wise and wonderful with kids. My kids trust her and open up to her about the things that worry or sadden them. She has an incredible ability to see straight through a facade and get right down to the heart of the matter and the issue at hand. She has given me advice on how to handle tough topics and hard questions, and she has helped me learn how to manage my kids' difficult behavior. I can't recommended her highly enough. We drive about 30 minutes to see her, but she is worth every minute. She is straight talker, and some things she has to say may be hard to hear, but she absolutely has your kids' best interests at the forefront in everything. I value her so much, and I'm so thankful we found her to help our family.

We have been seeing Dr. Roche for several years for our child. She has been extremely helpful as a member of a multi-disciplinary team working with our child. Her insights and willingness to work with neurologists, developmental pediatricians, OTs, Speech Therapists, teachers, and others has been absolutely critical to our child's recovery and progress. We could not have expected better results or a better psychologist. We highly recommend her and cannot say enough positive thins about all that she has done to help us through a very difficult process with a very challenging child and the issues this child was burdened with at a young age.

My family presented Dr. Roche with a difficult case, and she had the requisite knowledge and insight to help us make significant progress. I had my own ideas for solving our problems, and she had the wherewithal to tell me they wouldn't work, and why. She was absolutely right, and has earned my unwavering trust. I would recommend her highly and without hesitation.

Dr was late to appointment, apologizing for over sleeping. She was also very close minded about treatment ideas I had come up with for my daughter. Very condescending attitude.
