WHen I first saw Dr. Kempf I was not impressed. He seemed to brush me off as just another patient with wierd blood test resaults (positive ANA, HLA-B27, and reoccuring iritis) and told me to come back in 6 months. When I began having arthritic symptoms, another bout of iritis, and gigantic mouth sores I went back. I was clearly in pain and completely uncomfortable, red-eyes, swollen mouth, limping on swollen feet and Dr Kempf was very sympathetic, kind, informative, etc. I guess you have to be really sick to get his attention! HE offered me pain meds, various treatment options, etc. I left with a goof feeling about my appointment, and about Dr. Kempf.

This doctor has a very bad bedside manner. He is not compassionate towards his patients. Moreover, He has snooty attitude. He thinks he is the only doctor on earth. I was complaining from a pain and I felt there was a lump. I was very concerned and wanted to discuss it with him. He cut me short and told me that he himself has lumps in his body and therefore it is normal. I was really very disappointed. Just because he feels comfortable with lumps around his body; he shouldn’t expect me to feel the same and he should not force his opinion on me. Plus he told me that he could send me to MRI but he is not gonna do it cause the MRI procedure costs the govt. thousands of dollars. He made me feel like am a worthless patient. I will never go back to him and I would not recommend him. All the positive reviews are written by the office staff.

Dr. Kempf is a very gentle and caring Doctor. Right from the beginning I felt that he cared about you and would help you if possible. All Dr. should be this great.

I have never been treated as poorly as I was in Dr. Kempf's office. He asked me what was wrong, cut me off when I tried to tell him why I was there, then got mad when I didn't tell him I had just had surgery (which I would have gotten to if he had let me finish). Then, he ordered blood tests for me but refused to tell me what the tests were for and said that I'd have to come back in to the office to get the results, even if nothing was wrong with them. Needless to say, I did not get the blood work and would not recommend this doctor to anyone!

I enjoy the staff to include Ms. Joanie and Megan at the front and Dr. Kempf's right arm "Charlene" I would trust with my life as well as Dr. "Doc" Kempf. He answers my questions and inane sense when I am self conscious and will put me at ease. He will not push me to do anything I am not ready to do but will explain the facts as they are. I drive from Stafford to Arlington in DC traffic albeit; there are doctors that are closer. I appreciate his taking me as a patient because so few will take Tricare today and he is top notch in my book.

At first Dr. Kempf was very helpful, but lately he has been too quick to perscribe medication rather than seeking the cause of problems.

Dr. Kempf is fact oriented and reserved in judgments. He is open to listening to the patient and I feel very confortable with him and his study nurse is phenomenal! Go Charlene!

Have been seeing Dr. Kempf for 10 years. He is very knowledgable and thorough. He will take time to explain diagonses, treatment plans, and options, even if the office is very busy.
