I've been Dr. Blanchard's patient for over 20 years. He is brilliant, compassionate, caring, and super-competent. After an incompetent doctor (who has since lost his license) made a total mess of my thyroid profile, Dr. Blanchard was able to bring me back to life and health. Later, he discovered I was headed toward hyperparathyroidism - not easy to diagnose - so we watched and waited until it was time for surgery. Another doctor would never have thought of that diagnosis in the first place, and I would still be suffering and wondering why. Too bad some posters here have hadissues; I have nothing but deep respect and gratitude toward him.

I stop seeing Dr. Blanchard as after enduring numerous rude cracks about my weight. I've struggled with maybe 10 extra pounds over the years, I'm not obese and these comments weren't guided by concern for my health. After a miscarriage when I was deeply depressed, Dr. Blanchard said, "well that's nature's way of getting rid of genetic monsters" and likened my child to an omelet. Clearly he's lacking in the compassion it takes to be a great doctor. I paid plenty out of pocket for office visits and medications and I experienced no benefits beyond what my primary care doctors can provide sans the obnoxious, sexist remarks.

I really don't know what the last two people are talking about. Dr. Blanchard saved my sanity and my life. After years of being told everything was normal with my thyroid numbers, I finally found a doctor that actually understands and knows what he is talking about! I would swim am ocean to get to his office if necessary.
Hi staff is top notch, and I completely disagree with the other comments that his staff is rude. That is absolutely false. Thank you Dr. Blanchard for giving me my life back!

Only endocrinologist I saw who recognized that my feeling less then optimal was less then optimal. Took some time and visits but my energy level and brain are back where they belong! Office staff is first rate.

Dr Blanchard has been my endocrinologist for over 35 years after he discovered a lump on my thyroid. It resulted in a partial thyrodectomy. I've been on replacement hormone therapy since then. Nine years ago my entire thyroid was removed after another lump was discovered. The post surgical biopsy revealed cancer. His care and treatment of me has been stellar and his knowledge of my needs amazing. I am an artist, teacher, writer, and high level athlete engaged in rigorous daily physical and mental activity. The hormone therapy that he prescribes for me are monitored, tweaked, and adjusted routinely. He keeps me tuned like a purring machine.

Dr. Blanchard is a crook. He told me that I had hypothyroidism and he places me on 2 medications that made my heart race. Saw a specialist recently and was told there was absolutely no goiter and that my thyroid was completely fine as well as my.blood work. My specialist.told me that.it is very.dangerous to be put on thyroid supplements when they are not needec

Worst office staff ever. Was seen in 03, lost all of my records. Dr. blanched had no recollection of me being there. Shouldn't he be retired my now. His office manager promised me an appnt by the end of January of 13. I got a call back from Dr. blanched today and he stated that he could not see me because I was rude to his office staff. Stay.far away
