Dr. Calabrisi saw me in Spring of this year for an initial diagnosis of MDS because he was the dr who treated me and ordered tests when I was hospitalized. I am a strong 83 yr old woman but for some reason he didn't address Me, he pretty much spoke to my daughter who was with me. And his comment was "there is not much we can do for her, but Keep her Comfortable" Well, with that I took off to Dallas / Baylor for treatment and although I progressed to AML, my Chemo Treatments are working and I am still taking care of myself. Ha! Can't just destroy the spirit of this woman!
