This lady is the BEST doctor you can find ! My son is in constant pain. His previous doctor got shutdown by the TMB recently. We made an appointment to see doctor Mercatante to get a prescription for pain medication. We told her what we were there to see her for. She said she needed to examine him. She listened to his heart and breathing for a couple of minutes and then said she needed to run an EKG on him. As soon as the doctor reviewd this she told us that she is putting him on oxygen and sending us to the hospital emergency room. She wanted him to see a Cardiologist for his heart, Heart is the first priority. She had discovered that my son had a serious heart problem that needed treating from her quick exam with her stethescope. I feel certain that doctor Mercatante saved my son's life since we were unaware of this problem he had until she examined him. We highly recommend her.
