I came to Dr. Muldoon with a right inguinal hernia. Having read many dreadful stories online about the surgery needed to repair the problem, I was concerned about the pain during recovery and possible side effects. Muldoon and his staff did a great job explaining the procedure and answering my questions. I never had to wait any more than five minutes for any appointment. The surgery itself was smooth and my recovery quick. I was off the heavier pain pills within 48 hours and off Tylenol in three days. When I had questions afterwards, his staff was available to answer questions and setup a post-op appointment. Side effects were minimal and I was back up, walking around and feeling great less than a week after the surgery. I would highly recommend Joseph P Muldoon, M.D. with NorthShore Medical Group to anyone facing a hernia surgery.
